I am doing a project on Nelson Mandela and have done his achievments and other stuff but I am still wondering what actucally did Nelson Mandela do. I know he did lots of different things and it's something to do with racism and South Africa but can anybody explain this to me in more detail.
Do any of you know why he actually dd this in detail?
I'm not trying to be lazy but I just can't really find why. Thank you so much guys.

What I know I think you should ask your history teacher about Nelson Mandela about what he do.

His achievements are what he did. I don't know what more you are trying to understand. Becoming the first black president was a major accomplishment because people use to discriminate against black people before he gained leadership. White people use to be in power, and they were very unfair to blacks, using the apartheid system to oppress black people.
Nelson Mandela worked hard to change society in South Africa. He did this because, as a black person, he saw that white people were oppressing him. He got blacks and whites together, even convincing angry blacks to make compromises to bring the country together.
