I am not a fashionable guy

Oh gosh, when people mentioned about going to shopping at the mall, or the nearby stores, I would easily get bored by going along. I don't go shopping a lot, so I don't follow up much about the trendy stuff, or the most "hot", "hit" fashion. I do occasional shop only when I come by Wal - Mart do some grocery shopping, and I saw a shirt or jean that is my size and the price is right. So my cousin always make sarcastic comments about my fashion taste, and want to train me on that. From what I think, that is really waste of time and money to pursue those clothings. But, do you think that I should look out more of what I dress, and to please other people the same time?

Hi. kingparker. The way that I see it, nothing seems to ever go out of style at all. Create your own style, and stick with it. If you like something, then feel free to wear what you have. It is all about what makes you feel comfortable. If you like it, then wear it. Not everyone is into the hip and trendy styles, but many people are content with what they have on. You should be too. It is all you being happy and comfortable with your own personal individual style.

I don't follow the trends in fashion. I don't have a sense of style. I am pretty gritty myself so fashion is not high on my list. I buy whatever is comfortable for me, and whatever fits. I am a big guy so most clothes do not fit me anyway. Plus, because I most work and get dirty, there is not much of a need to wear nice clothes to work. Luckily, because of my size, I do not have to worry about finding trendy clothes since they are made for skinny people anyway. They don't make much in 4x shirts. However, I don't like big and tall stores because some of those clothes are too big for me. I wear 4x shirts or if I wear a dress shirt, I have to get one for a 58-60 inch chest (big boy). As for pants, my legs are big so I wear baggy pants because I need the room. I have 32 inch thighs on a 42 inch waist ( I have a football player build). About Walmart, I do buy T-shirts there because they are comfortable to wear, with the only issue being with the long sleeve shirts that my arms are big so the sleeves end up being stretched, especially since the cuff of the sleeve do not make it to my wrist. I don't about your area, but what bothers me are guys that insist on wearing the tightest jeans possible. What is that all about? Is that even safe? In your position, I would only dress up if I have a particular reason to, but once in a while, it does make you feel better, and different.

In my eyes, we live for ourselves not others, just be yourself.if you feel comfortable when you wear something you like, it's great. LIke what you said, it's really unnecessary to spend money on expensive clothes, you can save it for somthing you are really interested in.

Hi Kingparker!
I think we are just the same at some point. I also don't usually buy clothes and I don't follow on trends, actually I also feel that I am not fashionable at all. On my part, I just wear what's available as long as its still good and I feel comfortable with it. I think what's more important is that we are happy and comfortable with what we wear, who cares about our fashion taste...hehe
As long as your clothes are clean and pleasing then that would be fine.

Kingparker we should never do anything simply to please others, especially when those others are criticizing you. Silly for them to be as such and there is absolutely nothing wrong with a nice shirt and jeans.
Silly are those that way overpay for a pair of jeans simply for the name, especially if it means spending the entire's week pay for one pair.
You need not worry about what others say and carry on with pride that your clothing is neat and clean. We cannot please the world, in any fashion.

I don't think so. you don't have to do what others want you to do. just be yourself. If you are happy and contented of how you look then be it. there's more important things to do than mind what other people say about you. Enjoy what you are doing snd live happy!
