So Im in a country where people take Cricket very seriously, So there has been a few intense Cricket match going on for a few days, and for that there is a mass bunking in our classes, no one is going to collage when there is a match where india is playing, i just find it funny when peoples are ready to pay millions for entertainment like cricket when they could have been helping those sick and homeless peoples.. 60% of our population is under the poverty line. So yesterday there was this match where and i got like 5 text msgs regarding that, i kinda got annoyed and replied to one of them in a negative manner and i think i got the person offended.. anyways what do you think about my thought.. i personally dont like cricket cause of the fact its boring to sit on the tv for a whole day to watch it.

Any thing that unite people is not bad, Cricket is doing that. Haven't you observed people celebrating on the streets bear no religion , they were Indian. This is the magic of cricket. Because of it's nature many people do not like cricket. But India's victory in the world cup give hope to all indian, a reason to celebrate , a moment to cherish.

I get all the magic, unity and all that, but don't you think if peoples would use this kinda energy on helping our own country men atleast, we wouldnt have to resort to cricket for hope and wouldnt it be a way better reason to celebrate?

I am not too much interested in cricket, but last night after the victory, there was so much slogans, fireworks, distribution of sweets, som were shouting, 'Vande Matram'!!!!
Great do they know meaning of these words?

I know right, they are taking this whole event as some patriotic thing, when its just a form of entertainment, this is ridiculous, peoples have certainly lost their mind _

I am with you on this.. Cricket seems to be a pretty stupid game to me.. and all this craze about it seems pretty pointless too. We should save our energy for something better.
