I got my ordered shoe today

India
April 3, 2011 5:30am CST
After three months of waiting I got my shoe this noon. My shoe size is 12, means foot is 12 inches, size 12 shoes, sandals; chappals even slippers are not available in my city. I left wearing shoes with lace long back; because I can’t bend down to tie the laces. My left hip bone is damaged following a scooter accident in 1986. I usually wear sandals with a slip-on strap. In December I placed order with a shoe maker in my city to make one shoe of pure leather, size 12 for me, my city has some Chinese shoe makers since 1958. This man made twice, but fitting was bad, my foot is broad on the front side. Next I went Hyderabad to stay with my son; I stayed there for 50 days. Today the shoe was delivered, it is pure leather, color is brown has rubber sole, I like it so much, very comfortable. It has no lace or elastic, just put your foot in, and walk out. One thing, we don’t enter rooms with shoes on, leave them at the gate or just near the door, this way the dirt, germs can’t enter home, a good tradition certainly. What is your shoe size; you wear shoes with lace or slip on type or sandals? Do you buy them readymade or order to make one? Is it pure leather or synthetic rexine that has leather look? Do you leave shoes at gate or near door and then use a slipper inside home? Please respond, share your opinion on this topic. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

Hello my Professor2010 Ji, WEll, we both fall under common catagory of sizes between 4 and 7.5/8 inches . I normally get all sizes/colors suiting me as my home-town has special ranks in manufacturing of all kinds of leather items. FLax company came from my home town. Myu hubby wears, shoe without laces, though at times and on particular occasions, he wears with lace OXFORD with stiched toes and black in color. In my case because of Arithrites, and buckled feet, I find it very difficult to get my be-fitting size. If there is any problem with belly, you may take support by keeping your feet on stool etc. Thanks. May God bless You and have a great time.

Because of an ankle injury that I suffered when I was a young girl, I don't wear a lot of dressy shoes like most other women do. My shoes are typical tennis shoes with laces because those provide the most support for my bad ankle. As of right now we do wear shoes in our house, but I'm hoping that when I get everything straightened up inside the house that I'll be able to get a container to keep shoes in when people enter the house.

I have high instep so it is difficult for me to buy shoes that fit me.I usually buy the substandard shoes of military supplies, they fit me well and are sold at reduced prices, what is more ,those shoes which have good leather are hardwearing.

I am pleased that you got your new shoes today. I am a vegan person and so don't wear leathers. My shoes are made from a material called lorica and it comes from Italy. It looks like leather but it isn't waterproof. When it rains my feet get wet through. My shoes are hand made out of lorica and I get them from a company that I found years ago at a vegan event. They are as soft and comfortable as a slipper. My don't like to wear lace up shoes because my daughter undoes the laces and fiddles with them. I prefer to wear shoes done up with velcro and shoes with a buckle. My shoe size is 7 and a half. I find size 8 comfortable to wear and size 7 too small. One of my male friends has size 13 feet and he has trouble finding shoes big enough for him. His twin brother has size 14 feet so that is even worse. It takes one month for me to get my order of shoes back from the vegan company. On my trip to Colombia I had a pair of buckle up vegan hand made sandals.

hi max, glad to see you back here too we hindus don't enter temples with leather shoe, belts, wallets, most are vegan, when i go temples or am on pilgrimage tour i wear shoes made of cloth or synthetic leather, kind of tough plastic.. here size 13-14 are rare, shoe makers may not make, they don't have the frame to make.. Thanks for sharing Enjoy life to fullest. Cheers. BE HAPPY ALWAYS. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. .

I buy all my shoes allready made. There is no place that I know of that makes shoes like you had made! Years and years ago people were able to have shoes amde like that! Not anymore! I buy my sneakers and sliipers at Walmart. My size is 10 here. I also need wide shoes because my feet have gottan wider over the years. With shoes with work I found 2 pairs of my co-workers shoes in the trash not all ago! She used to give me her shoes when she didn't want them anymore but not anymore! We wear the same size but she will barely break in the shoes and then goes and buys another pair right away! She is so wasteful and love to waste her money on new stuff! She losses out and I don't have to buy any shoes! All my shoes have laces and I think they are synthetic leather! My slippers are slip on and I usaully buy the keep ones. If I buy more expensive ones I usaul lose one right away and I hate when that happens!

hello dada, My shoe size is 7 (waiting for my beaded sandals from you hahaha) I loved wearing high heeled shoes (4" heels). I don't buy made to order shoes, since i can bought it readily made. I also like wearing sandals, but not flat ones,at least has 1" or 1 and half inch heels. Here in my country,we also leave shoes outside our homes before entering ,or even when visiting friends,we always leave shoes slippers outside. Usually had shoe rack outside where to put slippers/shoes/sandals. Some wear slippers inside the house...but me and my kids don't wear slippers coz our floor house has flooring covers, and some part is carpeted (no need for house slippers, coz floor is not cold) Hope you had a very fun weekend dada and take care of your health always

We have the same problems here with the availability of shoes. I wear a woman's size 11. That is big for a woman's shoe. My son wears a mens 15 (also hard to find). Often we have to order them online. Most people here also remove shoes at the door. I suppose that's because of the dirt on them and winter snows. But it's more comfortable that way too. I like my friends feeling comfortable in my house.

Congratulation Professor on your new pair of shoes. I understand how difficult it is looking for shoes that best fit you feet. My late husband has a size 13 shoes. So whenever be get to see a shoe that fits him, we most often buy the shoes. My 10 year old daughter has a size 10 shoes. Maybe she took it from her dad. Now the problem is buying school shoes her size. It is difficult to get one in our place. So I really understand your situation professor and again congratulations.

Oh my goodness, i think you are too taller than me My shoe size is only 7 Inch only, i never hear about this 12 size!!! at all. I think people who have these kind of size, usually its difficult for them to get their shoes or slippers or sandals. Better those people has to order so that they can get their size shoes easily. But it is upto for 3 Months is really a long delay from that manufacturing company. If it is within a week or two means then we can say its ok but upto a long time means its of no use at all. Is there any value for the human being or not?!?!?!?! they should (Manufacturing Company) should understand the situation of those people who have longer feets.

hi Sir, wow that was quite a long wait for a pair of shoes, anyway my shoe size is 10 or 10.5 (American size) or 44 if European. I have a lots of pairs of shoes for every occasion or anything I would like to do especially outdoor, not because of vanity but because I think shoes are one of the most important things you can have to enhance performance and confidence in anything we do. I buy expensive shoes but I think it is worth it, I see to it that it is always shined, oiled and maintained and sometimes even resoled so my shoes last more than 10 years, I also have shoes sent free by relatives in the U.S. but lately they are now manufactured in other countries. I'm also careful in buying good brands because of fakes going around.

Hi sir, it is good to know that you finally received what you had been waiting for three months now. My husband's shoe size is 11 inches, thankfully i can get a shoe of his size in the stores, else knowing how impatient he is, 3 months would be too much to wait for. As for me, my foot size is 7 which is way too smaller than yours. Being a girl, i like wearing high heel shoes...for casual use, i love wearing flip-flops. Have a good day! :)
