Do you know the difference between love and infatuation? For me I think that it's love already when you're not selfish. I mean, you don't want the person only for yourself. You're already happy when that person is happy even if it's not because of you. How about you, what do you think?

Love is to have a profoundly tender and fashinate affection to another person that is mature and has respect. Infatuation on the other hand is immature and imperfect form of love.

Yes, I think you can also differentiate love and infatuation by that. It's really frustrating that there's a thing like infatuation. I wish there was only love in the world! But that just can't bee, sigh :D

We had this question for my marriage & family class.Love is from the heart. You think about that person all of the time. That person makes your heart pitter patter. Infactuation is when you think you love someone but deep inside you really don't. Infactuation can also be an obsession which can be scarey and could lead to stalking or an unhealthy attraction.

So when you stalk on a person does it mean that you're obsessed with him/her? So love is in a deeper level while infatuation is only a form of obsession :D

Love is deeper. Love is when you put the other person ahead of yourself. You want to be with that person all the time. There can be 2 levels of infatuation such as having a crush on someone thinking your in love. There's could be a more severe type infatuation such as stalking or obsession. I think everyone has their own version of what infatuation is.

I think infatuation is skin deep. It tends to be more of an obsession with a certain feature of another person, such as the way they look, or the way they act etc. Love is much deeper and is something that you feel deep within. Its when you can look beyond the looks and the material possessions that the other person has, and you can imagine your future with that person and cant live your life without them.

Oh yes, I totally agree with you. It doesn't matter how the person looks as long as there's that "magic" it's really love. I love your answer. Thanks for sharing. I'll put that into mind. :D
