Well, everybody knows that one of the main way to make money from mylot is by posting new discussion. Experiences had taught us that one new discussion for mylot will never earn over a 2 cents. That's why we need to post more. But How many psots should be enough for a day or let's say be practical. Since you can't face the computer for your whole day and do nothing but mylot, you know that you have to set a number as a goal or target for yourself. I would say that 10 new discussions + five more response per day would be reasonable and practical for anyone who wnats to earn some money in mylot fast but with a busy schedual during the day from day job. What do you think?Share with us

10??
I can't even make one in a day.
It's so hard to think of a good topic that's why I seldom post.
Well, it's a good way to earn though.
But if you have one very good topic that went on as a discussion like mysD said, you will earn big.
Do you start mylot with 10 posts?

To be honest, i can't and do not want to post more than 10 new discussion everyday.
I can't, because i may run out of topics or i may just sound like other's discussion. I like to think well of what i will discuss so i give time to it to ponder.
I don't want because, if i do at least 10 everyday, i will not be able to comment back on all responses because i will be deluged with them (if it was responded well.. ).

I think that before I can answer your question, I should point out what is a discussion. It is an exchange of ideas between two or more people. Therefor you don't post a discussion but you post a topic which then could become a discussion if there is interaction between you and the others who respond. If you don't comment on the responses (as well as not earning anything for you) it is not a discussion, but just a question with some answers.
Now to answer your question: for me it is impossible to start 10 a day. Indeed I don't even start one every week. Maybe you can understand the reason from what I said above but just in case it is not clear, I will explain. When I start a topic I comment to all over the responses (eventually). I don't start one if I am not able to be at my computer to comment on the first responses.
A topic for discussion in like starting a conversation offline. You wouldn't ask something and then walk away would you? By the way, it is never too late to go and comment on the topics that youhave already started. If you do that, they will become discussions and you will also see what happens to your earnings too.

Ten new discussions a day would be very good. I am even lucky to just one discussion each time I log in. I usually focus my attention responding to other users' discussions. It's just that there are not so many issues to talk about nowadays from where I am.

Just writing anything that comes to mind and then not commenting back to the responses will not earn you much.
You do NOT earn for the responses that others post on your topics, they earn for those. Unles your topics and comments are quality then your earnings will be extremely small, if anything at all.
I still do not understand the reason for starting 10 topics and then not continuing the conversation by commenting back to those who respond

you can start many discussion on mylot but what's the point of starting a discussion if you the starter is not even responding to what we have to say
as you are busy with you jobs i would suggest you to start discussion only when you have time to reply back and keep the discussion active
start 10 discussion per day you can do that but only when you have time to discuss here don't start a discussion and leave it
you earn for what you type and i earn for what i

I believe that you have set a reasonable goal that most of us could achieve. I have not had many days that I have started that many discussions recently. I have been working a little harder here though and I am planning to make payout this month so I have got to take this seriously and try my hardest and I think that I will make this my goal and then I am also working on getting all of my unresolved discussions resolved. Good luck!

I am more likely to post maybe 1 new discussion unless I'm really inspired, but I will respond to many. Today, I have over 100 emails with discussions that friends have started over the last week or so and I have responded to about two days worth already. I am working on my third digest worth of discussions right now. I don't respond to every discussion I see, but if I have something to say, I do. I didn't have time over the last 10 days to do anything except responding to people who responded to me, but after I finished my class yesterday, I have been in here for a couple of hours. I would say 1 or 2 discussions started and 10-20 responses to other people's discussions plus anyone who responds to your discussions or responses would be a good goal to set. But it is up to you. I am not currently working right now, just a student and in treatment for cancer so I have a lot more time than someone working full time. Have a great day!!!

It is not for me to do everyday! I am pretty such I could not come up with that many discussions in a day! I don't start a discussion everyday! I only do when I need to get something off my chest or have a great idea for a discussion. I like to try to come up with discussions that grap people's attention and it will get some responses. I hate when I have discussions that never get responses! It is up to you!

10 new discussions was actually my goal before
kinda hard to maintain because of my busy schedule
still working on doing that though
good plan. good goal.
and your number of responses to those that responded to your posts should be double or triple the number of your original posts.

I would say posting 10 new discussion is a lot especially in one day. If its very popular you would be answering post all day long. For me, my goal is to respond to at least 10-15 discussions a day. You are right, earning is the number one reason people signed up for this site. They can lie and say it's not, but I don't believe it. And to add, going back on the the 10 new discussions a day, you would have to have a lot of spare time on your hands, doing absoultly nothing. For me, this would be impossible with school and working. I just couldn't do it. Responding is definitely easier than starting a new discussion.

i haven't written a new discussion lately. i enjoy responding to other people's discussions more than writing a new one. i try to respond as many discussions as i can in a day but usually i cant keep up with my set goal of how many responses i should make in a day because i also have so many things to do. but is it really making a new discussion that costs more than just responding to other people's discussions? if so, then I'll make a new one very soon hehehe

It is the matter of time, if you spend a lot of time on this site so you can post 10 discussions, for me it is not possible to post 1 discussion daily because we have to answers the responses which take lot of time, i rarely start discussion and mostly reponse dicussions.

If you'll be active on all 10 discussions you start, then, yes it would be a good idea. I believe you're not paid because of the number of discussions you start but rather due to your participation in any discussions created by you or anybody else.

i think its not fair. because i noticed people who do that dont always respond back to all their posters/responders and thats why i dont do it. who the heck has time to respond back to all their responses if they post a bunch every day? i have at 1 friend that does that and some of the responses ive given has never been responded back by her.

That is a good idea my friend. If you make ten discussion a day much better. But this is not suggested. Because if you want to make some more. You need to post comment more including your post discussion...
Not only ten or twenty. Do more than that number...

Well, from my own experience, I do know that a discussion that you've started can earn you significantly more than two cents, if you take the time to respond to the people that have left comments on your discussion. However, if you don't do that then you really aren't able to make anything off of the "discussions" that you've started.
With that said, I personally think that starting 10 discussions in the course of a day is excessive because it would be really hard to keep up with those 10 discussions and also respond to discussions that your friends have started.

I think that i start 1 to 3 discussions a day is fine for me because i don't have too much time to stay at the computer, especially my english is not good and my typing isn't fast.and i'd better to give comments to all the responses to keep my reputation.
