I see your site is only two months old. It takes time to build traffic, which is what you need to increase your Page Rank. Getting good backlinks is critical. Frequent other blogs in your topic and post good comments on them. Most of them have a place to leave your website link. Go to forums that deal with your topic and if they allow, put your link in your signature. Don't spam; that will get you kicked off most forums
Read, read, read other sites in your topic area and do what you can to contact the owners. Be friendly and just be there. Sometimes they'll take a look at your site and if they like it, they'll link to it or write about it with a link.
Do the same with their sites. Choose one now and then and write a good review of it, or add their link in passing in an article.
If you get a request for a guest article, accept it (if it's appropriate material). When you post something someone else has written, they will usually link back, talk about it, tell their friends or whatever. It all adds up to more traffic for you.
Use Facebook and Twitter and wherever else you're allowed to promote your site.
Just get the word out and you'll get there. It won't be overnight, but it will happen.

I know it would be some hard work, I would out in the effort to get my site listed and hopeful more people would get to see it. I am open for a guest writer if there are people willing to come write about it.
Facebook and twitter would follow but I guess it would take time.

I'd like to know the answer to this question myself. I do know what you shouldn't do. Steer clear of traffic exchanges since that's an awesome way to kill a pagerank. Also if you happen to have a blog and want a pagerank steer clear of paid posts since that will kill it too. I'm pretty sure that's the reason that the soap blog I had up got absolutely nowhere because I had another blog where I'd been doing paid posts. So that just sits at zero forever and only happens to stay up because I'm able to get a paid post over there every so often.
Add your site to directories along with search engines. Maybe find other people with similar sites to trade links with. It takes time which sucks since I'm sure everyone wants to instantly have a pagerank. I wish you luck.

Having had a website for several years, I have learned that the page rank is something that has built very slowly, and if I do not add content for a while, it will slip back down again. So I have found that I need to constantly be looking for content that is valuable to my visitors. Backlinks are also necessary, but agian, these have to be from valuable sites that are in my niche and are considered valuable. Each article I put up on my site then has to be optimised for the best keywords. Not keywords or phrases that are too popular and have hundreds of thousands of other websites using them, but those keywords and phrases that are searched a lot each day, but that lead to fewer useful websites. All this is not easy, and has to be researched carefully. It is something that will take quite a while, unless you have some luck and stumble on something that everybody is looking for on line, but cannot find at all. Good luck, but you'll need patience, but people are doing it. _Derek

Peavy has some really good suggestions! I have several blogs and I always tweet them and facebook them. People come from there and then I try to cross link them when I can. One of my wordpress blogs is starting to get traffic off of one of my blogger sites now.. it does take time - but it'll happen!
