Have you ever thought of robbing a bank?

I have at times when I've been broke, but I haven't as yet. It's not that I'm scared of being caught...it's that I'm afraid that the bank would have already been robbed before I got there. cd

I guess it would all depend on whether or not it was a money bank, a blood bank, or a sperm bank. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Ho-hum. :-) commanderxo

Hmmm? Just exactly, how much DOES sperm sell for on the street these days? Once sold, do customers have to pay 5 cents for the plastic bag too? cdrxo

Ha, ha, that's a good one! In this day and age, we have had that happen with stores. One store got robbed and another robber came in to rob it about an hour later. I've thought it would be fun to be hired to be people who try to do fake robberies. That way they can test their security. That way I could rob a bank, get paid for it and not do time. The best of all worlds. Because sooner or later, they catch bank robbers.

Well the movie I watched, they had the same idea as you did. I also watched a special on great robberies that almost made it. This team of people assembled drilled and cut through the roof of a bank over a 3 day holiday weekend in a business section of town. No one around for miles around. They did it at night and they had all weekend to clean out the safe. But they were greedy and tried to do it again. So then guards were hired for weekends at all the surrounding banks. So now, because of them, banks have someone drive by them and check every day they're off, esp. during long weekends in business districts.

To writersedge: I think it be a great job to have just to learn how to do it right...not that I'm thinking in that direction, you understand? Hehehehe. cd

you, my friend, are so funny! Afraid they wouldn't have any more to give you? That's so funny..... I think a lot of us have thought of doing such a thing especially in these trying times but we know it's not a good idea and we'd get caught so what good would it do? None at all. In fact, we'd lose what we have now along with our lives because we'd be in jail for a very long time. No, it's not worth it

No way. Because I have been robbed at gunpoint and it was not fun. Would the money be nice? Absolutely. But I would never want to traumatize a person or people just for money. It's not worth the money, especially if you get caught. I am mostly over the robbery, but I now lack trust in people and have changed ways that I do things. It's sad that I have to change parts of my life because someone decided they needed some extra cash.

I didn't mean it to mean to upset any one it's was just a form of joking about doing something like that "what sorry you took it the wrong way" c d

Humor is definitely a good thing. I don't think I took it the wrong way and I don't want to come across as taking it the wrong way. I am sorry that I came across that way. I was just responding to the question.

no because the crime isn't worth the punishment. by that i mean even though you had extra cash because you robbed a bank, you get caught, put in jail and the money gets given back to the bank. so not worth it.

Hi, crazydaisy. I am sure that all of us have felt this way at least one point of time in our lives, or at least many times. I know that my hubbie has mentioned robbing the bank when he was stressed out. He wouldn't say that he would actually rob the bank though. He would just say that no wonder people are robbing the banks because the economy is so bad and it is very hard to come across money. I would not rob the bank, because I am afraid of getting caught sooner or later, or even on my first try. You must be one clever bank robber, to not be scared of getting caught after you have robbed the bank.

Of course I've thought about it. There are times when you are lack of money, so you think in any way to get some extra money, any easy way to get the money you need. So robbing a bank is one of those ideas you get. You know banks have lots of money, and you know is not too difficult to do it. But you also think in the consequences and your conscience suggests you not do it because it is dishonest.

It's not dishonest if you rob the bank of your own money. It's just the other peoples that gets in the way. cd
