I can't beleive this. A while ago i commented on one discussion and i saw there is chocklate colour star in front of my username enclosing 3! I found peoples struggling here for star and i got it after 100 rates only! Wow now i can earn fastly! I was not taking any attentions when i see peoples getting stars here. I don't bother at all when i see star of other users. But pls tell me is this bad/good/nice/excellent that i got star after so less time? Are they in increasing order means 7 no star is good than 3 no star or it is in decreasing order. Upto how much extent it will affect my earnings? What represents colour of star? And will i loose this star if i didnt active here or bad rating. Thanks

Yogesh are you EVER going to read the links that others are posting for you? Every user receives their star when they reach 100. Most users do not have a chocolate colour though and you will not be earning much at all with that colour. Go and read here and start understanding what myLot is about http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx

Yeah i really like chocklate colour. I don't know meaning of scoop because my english is very weak. my primary language is not english.there is always language barrier in front of me while posting here. But mylot has helped me a lot in rectifying errors in english.

Read this: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx No, you don't lose your star through inactivity but you CAN lose it if your reputation goes down - there is no '0' star.

Or lose them if you are too smart and make more sense than dim-witted Myloters!

I would suggest reading going to the links that have been posted on here, they explain the stars to you. Every one will get a star after so many posts. As long as they are quality posts and you post often, you wont have to worry about your star going down, just up! Congrats on the star though!!

Indeed, rewards come to those who exercise persistence and wait! I once was overjoyed upon noticing a tiny star beside my name. Shared joy is indeed double or multiplied! Congratulations! =)

According to Mylot, 10 is maximum. Just remember that stars here on Mylot have nothing whatsoever to do with your performance and/or information accuracy! Most Myloters are crowd-followers and can easily gang on you to decrease your stars (in effort to minimize your effectiveness, they assume) if you express opinion they and sponsors of Mylot do not like. This practice however should never discourage or intimidate you - If you are on Mylot to share and learn, then do just that and never mind your stars. Welcome to Mylot!

If you had read the previous responses like myLot tell us that we should do, you would have seen that you too will have your star when you reach 100.

Hahaha! You got the star because you reached the rating of 100. Anybody gets a star when reached the 100 ratings. I am laughing because I was curious about stars, too, and I also didn't read the FAQs about mylot reputation before starting a discussion about this. I wouldn't be too happy with the chocolate color of your star, it is not a good star. The stars have numbers from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best and 1 being the worse. So it looks like the other myloters didn't find your activity interesting here, did they? Don't be sad my friend, your reputation can be improved, just make sure you respect the terms and don't violate any guideline, and your star will raise.

Well good for you. I fairly new here and didn't even know there were stars to be gotten until I read this post. I read the rules on what and what not to post here, that's as far as I got. Guess I ought to read the rest of the info about this site, but there are so many interesting discusses I get caught up in reading those instead. :)

Hello Jackycui and welcome to myLot, The information given by the discussion starter is not good. Please read the responses given into this discussion before yours to understand what reputation is about. Don't just live with this wrong information. If you start using myLot without knowing what's myLot and what are we supposed to do here, it won't be good for you. Please follow the links given and take some time to read all about it. Good luck!

It has nothing to do with "luck."As many members have already explained, "everyone" receives their star when their post count reaches (100). your post count is (7), so you have a long way to go before you receive your star. Just keep posting quality posts and responding to others and you will receive your star as well.
