Judge Goldstone, whose report to the UN said that Israel IDF soldiers were told by their government to target civilians in the recent Gaza violence, has recanted and offered explanations but no apology. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said, “I don’t need an apology because we knew who we are, and we know the murderers are from Hamas.” He added that he had hoped the inquiry would have begun “a new era of even-handedness at the U.N. Human Rights Council, whose history of bias against Israel cannot be doubted.” This recanting of Goldstone's comes on the tails of one of the most horrible of crimes committed by terrorists in Israel, the murder of a Israeli couple and three of their young children, including a three month old baby whose throat was slashed. Could it be world opinion in their favor that gives the PLO and Hamas the nerve to do such things? Will changing that favorable opinion to one of outrage against these terrorist attacks by PLO and Hamas, help stop the violence?
