What do you do to pass time?

Ever been in a situation where time seems to be so slow and you can't wait any longer? This was what happened to me when I was on line for a very popular show.
So what do you do to pass time? Unfortunately, there was nothing for me to do but look in front of the mile-long line and wishing that I was in the front. In total, I waited only a few hours but it definitely felt like the whole day. Any suggestions so I don't have to go through the same thing evertime I have to wait on a long line?

Well I really don't have any methods but just to deal with it. Yesterday I have to wait in line for 2 hours and what I did is just to deal with it. Can't really do anything about it.
