My week started with a lot of driving around our small valley. We have wonderful skyscapes. We live in a micro climate and our weather changes very fast. When we have storms moving in or out the clouds make the most marvelous shapes, no two are ever the same. Because our traffic is light I have time to look around at the sky and mountians, there are not many buildings here and the speed limit is low so if
it's just sitting waiting for the light to change or driving out where there are open vistas on days like this its a blessing to drive around.

Today was a pretty fun day for myself and my children as well for this reason. We went to visit with a friend of mine and then when we left they wanted to see the building that my mother used to own that was haunted. Well, I knew after I drove the eight miles out there that I could get back out without going back into the small town. So, we ended up driving through the country which is not something that they are used to. I had really forgotten how beautiful it is driving out there.

Sounds beautiful. I like driving in areas like you are describling too. I wish Gatlinburg was less congested. The drive is beautiful but if you go on the weekend, there is a lot of traffic. Alot. I have sit in traffic forever. That really takes away from the enjoyment.

I have been driving cars for years now, since my college years I would say. That's when I got my driver's license. Since then, I have been enjoying driving in the city and cross-country. Yes, I live in a very scenic environment, mountains, valleys, rivers. Whenever weather permits, I would drive out to the country-side and enjoy the refreshing surroundings.

Hi savypat,
Driving Light Motor Vehicle or to say car is my passion too. I to and fro my college every day which is 60 KM from my home. As I come back after my classes are over I do not feel exhausted for driving.
Now rainy days are following and it would be nice to drive through the high way with some music on. Here too, I mean where I live there is no heavy traffic and driving is not a hectic thing.

wow I think to drive and observe nature in your place is really a rare previlege very few people are afforded right now, reminds me of my dad driving us along the countryside during the 1960's in our Oldsmobile, enjoy the skyline while it lasts, nothing good lasts forever, it would soon be taken over by what man call progress, same thing that is happening here

Me too, I love to drive but unfortunately I'm not that good in driving yet because I'm still practicing my driving skill. But every time I try to drive I always have a different feeling of happiness and fulfillment.

Driving is fun, especially if there are not a lot of other cars competing with you or causing near miss accidents. I live just rural enough that we can always find something great to look at when we are out driving.

I live in the city so my drives aren’t as relaxing as yours but I do enjoy the fact that I can drive whenever I want especially now that my husband bought me a new car! My old one was on its way out and our mechanic advised us to get rid of it while we could still trade it in, hence the beautiful new car, lovely to drive a real pleasure. So I love to drive too but for different reasons at the moment!
