I know that people have different ways in making use of their freetime. As for me,whenever I have one I would be listening to music for sure.I chose this among others because I feel that doing such is very soothing and relaxing.Imagine yourself just lying in bed with closed eyes listening to your favorite songs.Isn't that nice? How about you?

Hmmm, this is difficult. I do love all three things you mentioned: reading books, listening to music and watching TV. My favourite would probably have to be reading books, however. As an individual who has a goal towards becoming an author, allowing myself to get absorbed in another world (through reading) is one of the most magical things for me. I could sit all day just reading. It offers an escape to the harsh realities of life sometimes.

By the way you write,I could say that you do have a god future in becoming an author in the future. Good luck to you!

I enjoy reading books as it gives the mind something to do, where as watching tv requires nothing but sitting down and being lazy. music is entertaining as well, and relaxing.

I am not a big fan of reading books or listening to music, I don't even have a television at home. If I was at home to spend my free time, I would just surf on the internet like mylotting. I do listen to the music though when I drive, it depends on what the radio is playing, I like to keep switching until I find something that I wnat to listen to.

Hi mermaid. For real, you don't have a tv at home? Sorry for the question, but it just made me wonder you know. But surfing the internet is entertaining and relaxing though sometimes it just drains our energy.

probably a good thing for you not to have a tv at home, some o the stuf on it is weird and rots your brain into small particles.

I prefer watching TV as my way of relaxing. That way i get entertained, while i get to rest my tired body. I like sitting in our couch at the bedroom, while my two feet is elevated.
When my husband arrives from work ( i arrive earlier than him because we also start early at the office) we like watching gag shows together , while we are lying in bed trying to get sleepy.

It's nice to laugh with your husband by watching those gag shows rather than watching those murders shows , which would sometimes go with you in your dreams. Besides , it's one of the practical ways to bond with our partners in life.

I'm a very visual person so i do end up glued to the boob tube when i' ve got time ( that is if there is something worth watching). If there's none, i'd probably just listen to music and chill while lying in bed or sofa. Reading is not really my thing. During my younger days, i used to read novels but i was never really addicted to it. There are certain type of books that i do enjoy reading. I like the illustration ones. :) Other books which does not include in my 'like' category normally put me to sleep so i would rather sleep in my free time rather than browse through their pages. :)

Congratulations then in that realization of using books instead of sheeps.Though I tell you that I'm a teacher by profession. So at work I always use books n loads of books.I guess that makes me get tired of reading books once i get home.(lol) enjoy mylotting then, though i feel sleepy reading n reading now too (smiles).

Hahaha. We're on the same boat. Reading books sometimes works better than counting sheeps do. Sometimes, the sight of the thick ones really do knock me to sleep. :)

I like all three depending on my mood. I have various must see tv shows I watch. I also have hundreds of books to read. And I like music. There's no one thing I do when I have free time. I like a variety. Sometimes I do different things at the same time. Like listen to music while I'm reading a book or watching tv. Also and spending time on the computer to things I do in my free time.

The best thing with music is that if you feel like doing something else while listening to it then you surely can.It can even make you achieve what you're doing better.

basically it depends on the mood. If my mind is inclined towards listening to music I would go and play my favorite number and if wanted to read a book I pick up one and sit down with it.
Or sometime in my free time I feel like going for a long drive. I do not take anybody along. Just take out my car and off for a travel of two to three hours.

A combination of the three actually. Well I tend to really do two more than the other, but I tend to read books a lot and listen to music a lot. And every now and again when something good is on, I am going to watch television. Then again, those times are few and far between. Still when there is something that is really good, I tend to watch it and it tends to be something that really relaxes me more often than not.
Still most of the time, reading and music tends to be my two methods of rest and relaxation. There is nothing that calms my nerves more than some good music. There is really few times that music really is not a good thing to listen to. It does really help me focus throughout the day to say the very least. As for reading, well there is nothing better than reading a few chapters of a nice book, before drifting off to bed at night. It is a very relaxing thing.

I enjoy listening to music and i love music. Sometimes I can relate the lyrics of the song from myself. It's my lullaby. I can't sleep without music. I prepared love songs because for me it's good for the ears. :P

Sure, listening to music it's great for dancing and exercise. I'm not much into tv, I really don't watch it for years now, just when there was the eartquake and with all the tsunami danger I was listening to the news.
Now reading is the best, it's really fun cause a picture start to be created in my mind, I think the imagination is the best travel.

In my Free Time, I enjoy spending it on the computer, I really do not watch TV because whenever I turn it on its always something depressive, or something bad that has happen in the world (news channels).
I love listening to music on the computer, Really ANY Type of Music besides Country! Anything from Depeche Mode, RadioHead, Matchbox20, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails, Johnny Cash, Beatles, David Bowie just to name a few.
I agree there's nothing better then after a long hard day laying in bed listening to tunes.
Do you guys listen to your music on a stereo system, ipod, radio or on the computer?
Ive been contemplating getting satellite radio, but I'm still unsure any advice?

I like listening to music best with the stereo. The ipod could hurt my ears as it is too close. With the stereo on and with me in bed savoring the sound,it is just a perfect day.

I'm a mother of two who runs a house, works online and studies full-time, what is this free time you speak of? lol. I wish I had a bit of free time to relax and just think about nothing. On that rare occasion I do get a minute to myself, once a blue moon, I usually take a long hot shower, read a book or just sit and watch some mindless television.

Actually it usually depends upon my mood. Sometimes i go for reading books or like listening to music but i seldom watch tv. Somehow, i have figured out just now that I am more into reading, maybe not books i love reading journals online during free time and I only listen to music when i am doing something else.

I usually do two of the three as I read either with the TV on or music going. Usually music. I am an avid reader and though I am not in school at the moment love to continue learning on my own in this particular fashion.

i like that too, but i would prefer to sit in front of my computer during my free time because i think its more useful, i can do everything with my computer in front of me, playing games, browsing internet, learning while having fun.:)
@dragonangel (551)

yeah, the internet is so rich with information though as you browse it it may wear you out too.So if that happens then you need to sit still, play your favorite music, close your eyes and relax your body fully.
