Hi mylot friends: This birthday for me has been really special. I have prepared a gift for myself. After saving some money during the last couple of months I have bought for me a Nintendo Wii and it was nice. I love Wii sports and I can't stop playing. It's a really nice game and I think it's ok that you sometimes be special with you. i know it sounds strange that I give me something for my birthday but I think it's not bad at all that we show our love to ourselves. And it was a nice choice I've made. What do you think guys about giving something for you on your birthday.

Hi Starsailover, :)
Nah, not at all weird, come on. It's cool to save money for your own birthday. Well, i bought myself a Timex Aura series watch on my birthday last year, although i didn't save money for that. Parents gave me some money to buy some clothes and i liked this watch and i wanted it. :) It is worth the 90 USD i paid for it, and i am so happy with it. It is cool to gift yourself on your birthdays, keeping the fact that you don't forget to gift your friends on their birthdays.

Hi voldrox: Of course not. I think in my friends when it's their birthday too but at the same time we have to think about ourselves too. My mother prepared an amazing lunch in my honour and my father buy me some clothes. It was nice.

hello Alvaro,
That's nice.
Nothing wrong giving gift to ourselves,it's worth the effort (saving money) and the happiness.
I remember the song "the greatest love of all" there's a line saying "learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all"
We must and should learn to love ourself first before we can love others completely.
How can we love others when we can't even love our ownself.
See,if we can not take care of ourself, how can we take care of others.
If you can buy gift to yourself, that means, you can buy gift to others and your loved ones.
have a great day

Hi jaiho: Thanks for your answer. I am going to look for this song. The lyrics sound really good and I usually love the songs with a message inside them. And I agree with you, loving ourselves doesn't make us selfish. In fact that's the first step to love other persons. We need to have love inside us before giving it to the rest of the world.

that is very bright idea, we never gifted ourselves on our birthdays. Come on, it time we reward oursleves and feel good about it. Good on you, belated happy day to you. I hope you enjoyed and the gift will keep you busy because it is from someone special, and that special person is you.

Hi jak: well thank you very much for this message. I really appreciate it. We usually think about problems and the things that we have to do. There are a lot of stress in our lives that is not bad that we can give us a special reward once in a while for us. If we don't value our work, noone will do it for us.

Hi kwilima: I think that's what I'll do in the near future. First I want to buy a Wii Fit game, then I'll buy a new controller and a controller charger. And then I think I'll buy some other games. I'll check on youtube this Mario game. Thanks for your recommendation.

Hi cher: But I'm sure they'll enjoy it and if you find a nice game they can also do some exercise while having fun. That's the best part of a wii game

I used to have a nintendo wii. I want to get a 360 as I like those. I've got a lot of things I need to buy before I can treat myself to anything like that though and so that is on the back burner. I think that it's always good to treat yourself, especially on your birthday or another special holiday.
Enjoying Play Your New Wii!

Hi Some Cow Girl: I had the opportunity to buy a xbox 360 but I prefer my Nintendo Wii because I wanted to buy the Wii fit game. I lik the idea of making some exercise while playing a game. It's just awesome and that was what I thought.

I think giving yourself a treat during your birthday is a form of self-appreciation. Wii is a cool gaming console. I've tried playing tennis with it and it's so much fun. Although it broke after I smashed the ball with it the 2nd time. I'd rather use a tennis racket next time. Using wii as a racket is a waste of money.

Hey! Nice!
You deserve to have a treat from time to time, plus Wii is going to be fun for years without an end. I don't think they have other plans to make something better, although the japanese can always surprise us, who would say we would just move to have some game action without a line connecting the control to the video game right??
Have you seen these videos of people blowing up their lcd with wii control? Just be careful with that okay? And have a lot of fun!

Hi katie: You are right, you have to be careful. When I was playing yesterday, I didn't notice that my little sister was behind me. I almost punch her .
I like the Wii since the day it was released. The fact that we can control everything just using our hands is awesome. It feels real.

Of course it's nice to give ourselves importance sometimes. There's nothing wrong with treating yourself because you deserve it. AFter all, you did all the hard work and you also need to feel happy of that.
I do pamper myself once in awhile to feel better and to motivate myself to do my best. So this year i gave myself an ipad2 as a treat as i have been working hard for several months and i didn't get anything for my birthday from my husband.
We have wii at home for my son and i played with it sometimes but we got bored. Now my son has his own ipad and he plays with it most of the time because he can bring it anywhere and it's similar to wii too.

Hi thanks for your answer. How is it going with your ipad. I've give an Ipad to my brother on Christmas but it wasn't an Ipad 2. It must be a greater experience. It feels really nice to take a time to feel relax and pamper yourself a little.

Hi inertia: Yes. I have created a good mii. It really seems like a Mini me . I love bowling but I don't like baseball actually. I am not good at this game. I am not good with the bat I must admit.
