is time enough for you to do all the things you like to do?

Time is gold , so they say. I too, find that to be true.
With my full time job, I have to wake up early to prepare and go to work. and go home at 6 p.m. again from Monday to Friday and at Saturday, a half day work. Saturday afternoon will surely be spent on napping. By the time I wake up , there is little time left to cook dinner, but I have to. Evenings will be spent with hubby and I watching TV in order for us to bond. Sometimes, I would turn the TV off, just so we could share our stories well..
Sundays, will be worship time, grocery and cleaning the house. By the time I have finished doing all of them at 2:00 p.m. , I am already tired so sometimes I don’t get to pedicure my toenails anymore. I would watch TV while doing my pedicure sometimes. Should I decide to visit my parents I would do it after we went to church. I have to forgo of all the other chores.
How I wish I have more time , so I get to read some books, visit my parents often and have more time Mylotting too.

Unfortunately for me, there are so much things to do, but so little time to do them. Like you, I wish I had more time, but everybody gets just 24 hours a day, so we make use of that limited time to do the things we really need to do. We are always told that the key is proper time management. But, of course, it is a lot easier said than done.

We all have to move or we won't make any change in life. I've been a bum for quite while back and I'd realized that doing nothing productive won't give my life any success (obviously ) so I looked for a job. Successful people strive hard to be more successful and that attitude is what we need to copy from them to be successful ourselves.

I guess, i am a workaholic myself. I want to be always on the move.
But honestly, i want to be moving a lot so that i get to exercise my body that way. Calories will not pile up much.

I've always thought that too but the difference between going to the gym and working is you accumulate stress when you're working.

Since I have a son to take care of, think of how my days are with your schedule plus my son that is how busy I am. But I do get to do things for myself, I just really manage my time really well. We will always have our hands full but if we just balance everything then we should be able to find time for ourselves or for other things. I used to think time is not enough for everything that is out there for me to explore. But as the years have gone by, I realized we cannot wait for that day for us to not have any work to fit in anything else we want to try or do. Thus, my mission now in life is to try to fit in anything I want to do by making sure I manage my time really well.

Very true indeed.
If we want to do things all done, we have to manage our time well. We should prioritize all the works that have deadlines or needed to be done and deal with others not much needed work after that.

I guess, it's a matter of time management and delegation of some chores to your children and other members of the family. You are not a walking machine, sometimes you have to stop and rest and do something for your own pleasure.

Yes, sometimes when i don't feel like cleaning thoroughly, i would just sweep the floor and change the beddings. After that, i will be watching TV and mylotting until dinner time.

Dina, i am retired after teaching in colleges for over 45 years, have health problems, but i utilize my time to the fullest extent possible, i write my research articles for the journals, guide my scholars for their PhD, deliver lectures, have to oblige many if they ask me to attend some meeting as chief guest.
Quite natural for full time working women to have time shortage, what ever is left, do it on satday and sunday, if your office gives you leave on these days..
Thanks for sharing
Cheers.
God bless you, have a nice day ahead.

Yes, i make use of my leaves for occasions that are so important.
In fact, i filed a leave of absence from 12-18, excluding Sunday of course. My husband and i will be traveling to Manila tomorrow for our daughter's graduation, via an air conditioned bus. It will be a day trip from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. I am excited because it has been years since my husband and i have taken a day trip. It will be a long trip but we look forward to it because at least we can see the sceneries as it passes a lot of towns.

I'm still a student in school now. Most of time I must stay in the lab studying sth.Fortunately I can spend the weekends doing what I expected to.Maybe life as a student is comfortable. It can provide more time to handle freely.Just imagine the life in five years. I will probably struggle to finish the work in the officeroom during holidays.sigh...

Enjoy your student days first. Everybody has to pass the different stages of life.
When you get to that stage that you will have a job, you will see what i am pointing at. Time is not enough to do everything done at our given time.

hello simplyd,
Not always enough to do everything.
Not even if you are a full time housewife.
It seems that time is also running fast to overtake with every task that we do.
I find it's just a matter of time management since we can not really beat time.
I always took things at a time and never push too much on things to finish.
just need to know what's urgent and what can be put off.
But i make sure that i finish at least one or accomplish the most important thing in a day.
have a great day

yes, i do that too. I prioritize those that have deadlines. I allot a certain time to do this and then after that another time to do another. I try to always manage my time.

Hi SIMPLYD
That is so very true. I believe most of our time gets spent on the commuting. And unfortunately there are quite lesser chances where we can cut on this. I can relate this with my wife's schedule and she is quite occupied almost all days. The sundays that we get to spend time together - most of the time in wrapping up the weekly things that were unattended and that makes the scenario more gloomy. But yes, after the lunch, it is mostly time of togetherness and happiness.
That is how we have made our lifestyles adjusted to the need of times.

How laborious you are!As a matter of fact, it is just life ,which is full of hardship and happiness. In real life, not everyone has world-shaking cause, the majority of people live a normal life, sometimes it is dull or insipid even It copies what you have done the day before again and again. What we ought to do is that we derive pleasure from it.I have retired from my job and take things easy.Perhaps you can say I affect a high moral tone, but you don't forget that I am a person who has had the experience.

Well, i can understand you.
Should i will not be working anymore, then i could already make my day not routinary. I can wake up at any time i want and do all things i have to do at my own time .

I believe too that time is really gold. Almost everyday of my life I always tell my friends that I really need more time. It seems like 24 hours in a day is not enough.
Before I start doing things I usually compute my time I need for a day. And thinking of it is really stressful. Because I need 30 hours to get all my works done in time. I have to compress my time for me to finish paperworks and projects. I sometimes don't have time to sleep or eat. I just take a nap to relax.

OMG! I cannot do what you are doing. i have to have enough sleep in a day or else i will get lethargic and my immune system goes down quickly.
I have experienced having to sleep for only a little time, and the next day, i absent myself from work, because i wasn't feeling well.
Just like you i compute my time. From the time i should sleep and wake-up , to my preparation in going to work, then after office hours, the things to do such as exercise before my hubby gets home. I always budget my time, so as not to forget other things to be done .

They will never be a time when time is enough for anyone.I think the best way to beat the time factor is first of all plan plan plan.By planning i mean weigh your needs and whichever things you place a higher significance they must be at the top of your plan.Example, going to work to earn is of course on top of the plan, once you have money then when not working on your job you create time for family, friends and so on.If you like to swim then you will create time for it,if you like hunting then you will create time for it,and so on.The time you decide to do something instead of another you make a choice.Choices is something we have control over and when you make a choice to do something you don't like over something you do ,then you can't complain time is never enough, what you did is that you made a choice and you are stuck with it.That's my take.

Very true indeed. Time management means planning what we need to do or prioritizing our work over those things that can't contribute to making our daily living comfortable and fulfilling.

just maximize your free time in order to do everything you have to do, don't drown yourself with work that doesn't satisfy you or else you'll ended up old and when you look back at your younger age you'll see how miserable you live your life... just ry to find time to relax and don't chase time there's a lot of time if you just set things straight up and do your best every second that will pass, i also have a work on mondays to friday and go to school every saturday, but i do a lot of things at night like relaxing and doing what makes me happy. and the whole sunday is my free day and i'm maximizing it to do all that i wanted to do

From what i said, i watch TV while pedicuring my toenails, i am already maximizing my time.
But on second thought, I guess, i am a bit too much with myself. Perhaps i should slow down a bit on Sundays and not do vigorous cleaning of our room every Sunday. Anyway, the bedroom is closed the whole day that my husband and i are in our respective jobs.
