I'm so sad

I woke up today feeling so lonely. Worse case is, there is no reason behind it. I just felt sad the moment I woke up. I tried to overcome the feeling but, i just can't. I can't even force a small smile on my face. I don't want this day to pass being like this. I'm not feeling good.
Do you ever feel like this? What do you do to overcome the sadness?

Sorry to hear about your sad feelings. I do at times feel this way with no unexplainable reasoning. Sometimes the weather especially adds to my mood changes. It is still very cold here and it is suppose to be Spring.
What I try to do is keep myself busy as much as I can so that I am not thinking and dwelling to much on how I feel. I live across the street from a really nice park so sometimes a walk around the entire park helps me.
There are times I can take a nap and or pick up the phone and call my children. So basically trying to add that try your best to try and keep a bit busy if all else fails say to yourself this will pass and hope the next day is better.

I tried to keep myself busy today. I tried to do some house chores but this loneliness is keeping me from doing things. It's like it's making me lazy as well. I just wish this would go away.

It is really hard to function when we are sad, maybe a bit of fresh outdoor air even if it is a few minutes may help.

I had the same experience today. No matter what I did, nothing really seemed right, but I was able to pull through. It's a challenge. I am practically away from home to work and on the brink of being burnt out... so what i did,,, i called up some friends who i know will cheer me up without them trying too hard :) sometimes we just need someone special to talk to to remind us that everything will be fine and we are not alone :)

I have had days like that too. I even had anxiety and depression. I guess we all have a bad day here and there. Mine stems from my chronic pain. But I try to occupy my mind with other things I do a lot of crafting and coming here and talking to others in discussions helps me too. Specially now that gas is getting so high we can't afford to drive down the street.
Try to do one thing good for yourself everyday. I have to or I would probably go crazy.
Whether its taking a good long shower, or soak in the tub, maybe your favorite scented candle, making a favorite desert you like. Just do something that will be special for you and take your mind off your problems or sadness.
Bless you sweetie and keep the chin up. Our news is bad enough and will pull us all into depression if it lets you.
When my husband comes home thats all he listens to is a news channel. I make the dinner meal and then escape to the bedroom and spend some me time stitching or knitting or reading a good book or even coming here.

I envy you. You have a very positive outlook in life. And thanks for your suggestions. I haven't tried them out yet. I guess I better will. Maybe I could take a long shower the after that rest in my room with my scented candle on. I guess that will give me a relaxing sleep. I haven't done it before. Thanks for that idea.

Thank you so much. That's very nice of you. It is actually what I am doing now. I just spend my time here in my lot specially on discussions. At least this way, I can forget the sadness I'm feeling.

Difficulties and failures really get us down. Specially when it seems too unbearable for us. Good things that God created friends. But today, I decided to be alone until This sad feeling will go away. My friends might not understand my mood and they might be irritated.

I do feel like that sometimes. There were even days when I woke up feeling pissed or crabby. What I do on those days to perk me up is have a long relaxing bath, watch a fun TV program or movie...If you have feel-good food, you can have that to make you feel more energized and ready for the day!

I hate that sad feeling it is so hard to overcome and sometimes you may not. For me a feeling of sadness I have noticed that I tend to get sad when I am pretty much lazing around, but when I do some exercise I actually feel happy and I feel on top of the world. So that right there is an easy solution it seemed hard for me at first because I don't like exercising, but I have gotten used to it good luck in overcoming your sadness because it's better to be happy.

hi angel,
It's normal that one day you feel that you sad. I also experience that even I don't have any problem or reason to be sad..
It's okey to be sad as long as we can function normally in our daily life..
Sometimes as a woman it was related to hormonal imbalance.
_have a good day!

I'm sure there are moments of sadness in everybody's life;we often feel lonely and discouraged without knowing exactly why,and I think those states are normal if they're not frequent. As for me,whenever I star feeling sad I try to think about the little things I enjoy doing in life or I try to set a goal for that day to help me overcome the sadness, and eventually it works;I manage to get out of those states and focus on what I have to do.I thin k it's very important to maintain a positiveattitude even life is sometimes really bad, because if we let sadness overcome our spirit it will eventually affect us psychologically,I guess.

I also experience that sometime, but i won't let the day pass feeling like that, if i feel lonely, i do the things that would somehow uplift me, like texting a friend, chatting with them, or do some favorite hobby, or going to the mall to stroll, the best thing that would make my lonely mood vanished is by being with my friends talking to them and have a good time.

I sometimes feel like this angelsavie. it is not nice but you have to focus on positive thoughts.
Have a healthy breakfast like bran or oats, they give your body a natural high as thet slow release energy into your body.
Do you work? If not and you need to fill your day then start with positive thoughts when eating breakfast, about loved ones, about what you can do to make your life a happy place to be.
Do you have a garden? pottering about with plants can be very theraputuc.
do you have a cat or dog? giving your pet a big hug in the morning can get rid of the blues. (but not if it's a goldfish!)
best of luck for the rest of the dayxxxxxx

Yes, specially we females do experience that feeling once in a while.
Maybe you are or will be having your period. or maybe it stems from thinking of the big work waiting for you for the day.
Me, in order to overcome it, i would pray first for God to help me overcome it. The i would take a lukewarm bath and eat a hearty breakfast. In a few minutes after having done those, i will be feeling lighter already.
