I read an article that I thought was both scary as well as interesting. It was about how teachers have a bigger impact on children and who they will become than their parents. I started thinking about this and realized how teachers do spend a great deal of time with children and how they could be very influential. It made me realize how I want to be better informed about my future children at school and who they are surrounding themselves with.

Teachers really do have a great impact on children. Maybe because they spend most of their time with their teachers than their parents. And in school remember that the teachers are always right. You have to follow their rules or you'll be punished from kindergarten to college you are always with a teacher 5-6 days a week from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and you'll be with your parents usually during dinner time then your off to TV or homework. Every one should take into consideration where they let their children enroll. Education is a good investment so never compromise it.

I still have to say parents. I mean, I keep having different teachers every year or every six months. But I only have 1 mother, and 1 father (biologically speaking).:D And they have affected my life so much. Besides, I wouldn't learn to argue if it weren't for them. haha.:D Moreover, I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for them. I'll forever owe my life to them. Thus, everything they do will always have an impact to me. As for my teachers, there were only some who I considered to have cause great things to my life.

For me, parents are the most influential model to their children, why?, because child are totally independent to there parents and what parents do child will tend to do the same. That's why parents should nurture and shape their children in a proper way or in accordance and teach them how to mold a healthy socialization.

Parents should have a better impact in a child's life. Parents influence their children in daily life on their manners, for they have more time with children in their holiday and vacation.
However, people live in society, and school is a small society for children. Children go to school not only to learn knowledge, but also to learn how to communication with others and get along well with them. Hence, teachers will have great impact on children's socialization.

I think that it largely depends on the type of relationship the kid has with the parents. I mean how close the kid is with his/her parents. As some would say, teachers are like second parents to kids as they spend longer periods of time with kids in school. So, I guess the influence of teachers on kids is mainly due to the fact that they get to spend time with kids just like parents do.

That's very true. The teachers are the ones developing the abilities of our children and they have the capacity to further teach them on manners and various learnings.
Hence, it is imperative, that we get to see who our children's teachers are and once in a while talk with them on how our child is coping up in school , in their aspects of learning as well as socializing with other children.

Parents will always have a bigger impact on their children. What they will saw inside the house will definitely manifest in what they will do outside. All values that they have learned will come from us parents.....Although the environment and people around them may affect also, the strong values you taught them will matter first.
