They're the craze right now, especially the girls. They give the country a lot of glory through football. With them the Philippines is not only known for boxing, now we can add football! It is really good to know that there are still other sports that we Filipinos can excel in besides from boxing. :D

But the problem is Filipinos gained lack of support from our government that's why in our country excelled only few sports competed in other country.

I think the Younghusband brothers are pretty cool. They're good football players and it's amazing that Phil is trying his best to speak Tagalog when he can, which is the actual opposite of most Filipinos. Some get a chance to go on a vacation abroad and suddenly has amnesia of the Filipino language when they come back. They try to speak English but they're just so bad at it.
Anyway, back to the Younghusband brothers, I've always wanted soccer when I was in high school but we didn't have them. I'm just glad they are doing what they can to promote the sport in our country and even representing us. Raised in the UK but pure Filipino, it's what I love about them!

Yeah you remind me of our fellow countrymen that tries their best to be like Rizal's Donya Victorina. They are really amazing and I hope that the azkals can make it up to the FIFA. Go team Philippines! :D

Well my opinion maybe a little bit not in touch with the whole country but I really don't consider them filipinos. Those brothers from what I have heard is not really born here or even live half of their lives here. They just joined because they have some filipino blood in them.
But I agree that they influence our countrymen on football that is not really an easy task.
But for excelling, I think not now but maybe in the future. Soccer or football in the philippines is really young way so we really cannot expect them to win the world cup or sorts.

No offense to James' and Phil's dad, but if I have an option, I would cut the surname and make it just James Young of Phil Young. The girls I know agree that the brothers are exciting personages, but they wouldn't want them for boyfriends because of the long name.
And the girls I know are seriously talking about Ian Araneta, Ali Borromeo, and even Angel Guirado...
