April 5, 2000, 10 days before I graduate from college, I gave birth to my first born. I was studying then in college in my maternity dress! some of the students are staring at me, because im the only student who are attending the school pregnant. but i dont care. all i want is to finish my studies. i was in fourth year college and have to finish my last semester when i got pregnant. i decided to continue my studies in that situation. maybe in some people, when that happen to them, they will stop their studies, but not in my situation. and now, i am so proud that i finish my 4-year course as BSHRM. and happy to have an 11-year old son right now. we're very close, its not like a mother-son relationship but more of as friends. if that will happen to ypu, going to school pregnant, would you do the same thing as what i did, or skip your studies and go back after giving birth?

I didn't have anyone in my college classes that were pregnant but in high school I knew a handful of girls pregnant in high school. It's crazy to know that some of them will be grandmothers at 40.

? If you are 31 now and your son is 11 that means you had him when you were 20. When you are 40 your son will be 20 not 29.

I didn't finish college and my son would be 10 years old when I would be 33 years old. So young so good So it would be good to have you share experiences about having mother and son relationship that young. I think if I was at college still when I was pregnant, I would still finish it first after I give birth so I didn't waste it and it wuold be ueful to look for a job in order to take careof the son.

yes, i think going to school and finishing college should not be hinder because of pregnancy. having a baby is a blessing, as well as pursuing your career at the same time =)

hello martha, I did'nt finish college. I knew some schoolmates when i am in highschool being pregnant and teachers encouragement them not to stop. It's not a valid reason to stop from studies. I even admired them,it's easy to have been stared while walking in campus with big belly, but those girls didn't mind. they might feel ashame and hurt by those stares but still they're smart and courageous enough to go on with the battle. Good to know you have your son with you now as buddies ...enjoy motherhood always
