Have you ever heard that phrase "in order to find yourself you must first lose yourself." What does it mean exactly? How do you lose yourself so you can find yourself? This phrase is telling us that in order to truly find out the real you. Who you're meant to be, you must first go through crossroads or roadblocks. You have to make mistakes and learn from them. This is how you find yourself. You lose yourself in these "roadblocks" stressing and making mistakes. But then you learn from them and you find out how you are. You mature, how you react to things, how you want to be treated and mostly how not to make the same mistakes. By making mistakes or "losing yourself" you find out how and who you really are. When you are first "introduced" into the world everything seems right or innocent. Not dangerous and deadly. But as you grow up and go through life you learn that not everything in life is not how it seems. You learn that not everyone is going to keep their promises, not everyone is going to be there for you when you need them the most, that relationships aren't always forever, and that in life you need to be cautious and "rock hard" to make it through. By losing how your old point of view (losing yourself) you change and find out the real you. How you are going to be for probably the rest of your life. The true you. This is how I interpret the phrase, "in order to find yourself you must first lose yourself." but here's the question. How do you interpret the phrase...what do you think is the meaning behind this?

One meaning that I take from it it that you have to"lose everything that you do, remember that nothing is set in stone, take a step back and truly look at ALL you actions and try to figure out which ones and the destructive ones, the lose them thus losing the old self and creating a new.
thats just my messed little mind though
