Learning a new dance

Way back then, when I was a little girl my mother enrolled me in a classical ballet dance class. And in my late 20's I enrolled in a modern ballet dance class, since most dance steps lately have modern ballet routine. However, my dance classes were just in a short span of time. Eventhough I didn't succeeded to make a career out of it... I am happy to learn these dances. How about you, did you attend a dance class? what kind of dance it is and for what for?

I only have my dance lessons in our Physical education subjects. Though in my mid-20's the craze was disco. I learned to dance through peers and they are mostly modern dance.
Now that i am older, whenever i see others ballroom dancing, i would be envious. But no matter how hard i try, i do not learn them. Maybe because my husband has no interest on them, so who would accompany me to those dances, just in case i learned?
