Shopping for Baby Clothes is Difficult

I went shopping for my baby. I wanted to get onesies. When I got to the store, I was confused with the sizes so I consulted the sales lady. I then purchased several pieces but then when I got home, the onesies almost didnt fit my little one. I think it will be just days that the bottom locks wont be of use because he'll be growing fast. The label says the right month for my little one but I guess, he just too big for the sizes of that brand. Im going to exchange the items for bigger ones.

I got a lot of clothes for my baby at the baby shower, I got size for newborn, 3-6 months and 6-9 months. It was very good because hwe outgrew the newborn clothes very quickly and he is a large baby so he was wearing 3 -6 months old when he was 2 months old and now he is 6 months old and some of his clothes are 9-12 months, he is very tall so even though the clothes is not tight, it is too short for him. I got lots of clothes for him at the baby shower so I didn't bother buying more knowing he will outgrow thatso quick, clothes are cute but I waited. Now when the summer comes and when he gets bigger, I will get new clothes for him myself.

Just buy 2 or 3 when you think he doesn'y fit in the clothes that he is wearing anymore because they do grow fast, it would be a waste to get whole bunch of cute clothes, cute but not practical.

Same with my baby. He wears clothes that are larger. Someone gave him 3-6months clothes. When he turned 3months. the clothes seems to just fit so i guess on his fourth month he might outgrow them.

Yes, most of us facing the same issue. Babies, infants, toddlers have a fast growth rate. My mum advised me to buy 1 or 2 sizes larger than my son current size. By doing this, he will grow and as time comes, the clothes will definitely be fitting. In a way, we are buying future clothes and the worries of cannot fit because of too small won't arise. By the way, do buy too many unless we have younger children to pass down the clothes.

Oops, sorry, there is a typo error. The last sentence should be, '[u]don't buy too many unless we have younger children to pass down the clothes'

I agree. But sometimes I just want to buy something that fits perfect. Like if we have special occasions, I buy him something that fits well. So the pictures will look great. Its just me. Anyway, other than that I can buy larger clothes.

I also find it difficult to buy the clothes for children. I usually will buy the bigger size. As baby grows up so fast. Soon the baby will fit to it. You can also bring your baby's clothes as a standard size to buy new clothes. Today usually I will bring my son to try it on so that it will be perfect suitable. I also feel very confused to the size because it seems there is not a standard size. Each size is different. I love China

I try to bring my baby so that his clothes will fit. But he is still small. It makes it difficult to shop around. Maybe when he gets older, I will bring him every time. Or better yet, master his sizes so i will improve my shopping skills.

I remember before when my son is little one. I always intent to buy those large one that is would enough to fit with him. But like you I am also confused, but my mom would always tell me that I should buy those large sizes because they can be used in a long term. My mom is always wise and thrifty which also helps us to save. As you know baby grows so fast, you'll never know the clothes you just bought a week ago will no longer fit to them. So it would be wiser enough if we will buy the larger one. I always asked the sales lady to give me the larger size but make sure as well that my son can used it and it will fit to him

YEs baby grow very fast and often they outgrowth their customes fast.Usually for few months baby we buy front buttons t shirts so can button in front and easier to wear and not hurt or twist the baby hands, beside that made sure to buy extra few size, because the baby napkins or pampers will cause extra size.No need expensive because it for short period few months before they outgrowth the clothes.

Yeah, Most of his clothes are front buttoned. I get onesies for going out. He use to have the wrap around clothes but they outgrow them fast and I just hate the strings that you should knot and knot. I never got any again. Now that he is growing up, i need to buy him clothes again.

My sister also got the same problem with Onesies. The hole for the head just wont fit. I guess the hole is so small to make a head fit. She got like 3x change, but still had same problems with the clothes. 3 TIMES! imagine that!after that, she just had a refund and bought something else.

She should get the onesies with the buttons on the upper back or buttons on the shoulders. This way, it will make room for the head to put on the clothes. I just figured it out when I had my shopping problem.

i agree. just because it says the month on it doesnt mean that particular size will fit them at that perticular month (ie: 6 months).

I had the same problem with my baby. So it got to a point where I took her to get them so I can try them on her. For a big baby some of the outfits I bought her fit real good said it was for a premie baby. It was weird.

I know. I think it depends on the brand. Baby's just vary in sizes so sizes provides on the clothes are just estimates. Maybe next time I buy, I will just take note of the sizes of the brands ive tried. :)

I dont have a baby yet but I buy baby clothes for my brother's son and daughter. I like buying clothes for the baby girl cause its easy to find them and they are a lot cheaper than the one they have for the baby boys. I'm also due July and we're having a baby girl so its okay for me to buy clothes for my brother's daughter since my daughter will still be able to use them in the future.

Your absolutely right. And girl's dresses can be worn longer. For baby boys, they are indeed more expensive. I like to buy different colors because the styles is just pretty much the same
