When we were kids we used to see our parents choosing a particular spot in the house specially after the day's heavy work to relax and perhaps to whisper sweet nothings. It was a cosy part of the house. We never bothered to go there until our parents were found there. Ignorant as we were we would rush there and give them company. It is only after we grew up that we realised that we should not have disturbed them. Do you have such memories?

I remember my sisters and I going into my parents bedroom on a Saturday or Sunday morning and jumping on them and all over the bed. My dad worked all hours, and so it was rare for him to be home when we woke up on the weekend and not be recovering from a night shift. They would be trying to have a quiet conversation and we would ruin it lol.
My husband and I never have the chance for a lie-in, our kids are far too young to know to leave us alone. Maybe I need to find a secret hidey-spot away from them for a little while =)

With kids around it is well nigh impossible for that secret hide out. I was just wondering how difficult it must have been for my parents to steal some moments of privacy with their brood around!
