I bought this solar lamp for €17,00. Okay, compare to other lamps it is a bit expensive. But it is very useful. at day times i keep the square shape solar cell under the sunlight. at nights i keep the solar cell in its place and switch on the light. I use this light as a table lamp. with this lamp i am able to save some money.
other than this I love this lamp because it has no electric wire. i can keep this lamp wherever I need. Definitely i help to save the environment with this lamp a little bit. Now what about friends. Do you have any things like this which use solar energy?

There are ways to save energy AND money during the time of the year where sun is shining (even if it is a cold sun a it is in Winter). You buy unexpensive black plastic bags, fill them with water and place them in the sun. After some time (not more than a couple of hours sometimes) you will have warm or hot water you can use instead of heating water using energy. There are also, at higher prices, black solar lamps that you can use to take a shower as they come with the devise to hang them and a small faucet so the water comes down. It is useful when camping.

Your water heating idea is good. i will try this in coming summer. As you told these solar lamp is good for camping also. Basically I hate the electric wires, which hang behind the electrical things like tail. I love my lamp because it has no tail.

Morning Marguicha and John! I have a "Solar Shower" which I have been using for about the last 17 years. It is a black hanging bladder that contains 5 gallons of water which is set in the sun to desired water heat, and then you hang it with the nozzle (spray) to shower! It works two ways for me..solar heat, and also limits the amount of water one uses! I shower, wash my hair with organic products...all the shower water is caught in a small plastic tub (in which I stand)...the water is then re-used for the garden! Living on an Island and WELLS being the source of water...ONE really is cautious with it!
This year, I am building a structure with a huge barrel on top, painted black, and a catchment system, so all my visitors will shower outside, too! Also, it is fun showering outside..with the morning/evening breezes...! Can't wait!

Sun can be used even when it´s not so sunny or when sun is cold. I cover my windows at the outside with plastic (very unexpensive), leaving about 10 cm between that and the glass panes in Winter. It makes a greenhouse effect and the temperature inside the house raises quite a lot on Winters.

A bit costly if purchase in our place.Naturally charge by Mother Nature so no hustle.I respect you for doing something and for that simple act of yours it's sure you have contributed in helping our environment.

You are right. Actually I do think we should take advantage of the solar much more. It can save the power and it will be good for our environment. I don't have such kind of lamp. But I have a solar fan since my son likes it:) In summer he likes to clip this little solar fan on his cap and it is "cool":)
I love China

Good on you...HATS OFF to you...I don't know if the price is expensive..or not, but at the price of saving just a little bit of the environment...a wise, wise move. At the current, the only Solar lights I have are for my deck and pathways...but I have been looking for a portable that I could put outside in the morning..and use indoors at night! In spring, summer and Fall, not only is my deck, paths beautiful because I have interspersed them with the Solar lights that change color...but I feel it is more beautiful because I have contributed one small bit to healing our environment! Mother Nature is my bandwagon..my idiosynchrasy...my life!

Yes, it is always good. Mother nature will be proud that her energy has been changed beautifully. I also notice these beautiful pathway lamps. I don't have pathway lamps as because I have no beautiful pathway.

No,I do not have such stuff yet.
Compared with its energy-saving effect, I focus more on the performance to expense ratio.
Although something new is friendly to the environment during the time you use it, much more materials and resources are wasted in its production process. Is it another kind of unsustainable development.

I don't have a solar lamp. But I do have an LED lamp which could be charged manually by a certain lever only for a couple of minutes. It does stay on for quite a while. Works well too! :D
