Past is past as they say. But sometimes, I know, some of you (including me) still recalls their past. Those mistakes, good memories, lessons and everything. Sometimes we want to go back where we made a mistake then want to change it. Or maybe some good memories you want to experience again.
Me, if I could change one thing about my past, it would be playing a lot more when I was a kid. Well, I never actually experienced a super enjoyable playtime when I was kid. I'm always at home and just don't feel like playing. Now, when I walk on streets and see kids playing. I ask myself, "Did I play this game when I was a kid?" And the answer is NO. Then wishing I should have played. Not so big deal wish, eh?
So, if you could change one thing about your past, what would it be?

For me, I would change everything. I don't know if I would call them all mistakes, but I would never marry the woman I married. I would have pursued the one girl who now I know was perfect for me. I did however run into her a few years back and now I am with the one and only one for me. I never wanted to have any regrets in my life, but then again, most people don't either. I just do not want to dwell on them and make myself feel worse than I already do. We make our own destiny.

You really mean to change ALL??
I hope your life isn't that much miserable inertia..
Maybe that was meant for you from the start. Well, I really don't know what to say.. I guess you should have pursued the woman who's perfect for you then. Maybe, you won't be having regrets now. But if you can still change some, try it. Maybe it will help you with your mistakes. Good luck...

Would you appreciate 'the perfect one' as much if you hadn't spent the time with that 'less than perfect' one?

Hi Adnileb and welcome to my lot. Me if I could change anything about my past I would have never gotten married and never had children. I would have went into the armed forces and got real training I would have stayed in the service for 20 years and had somthing to fall back on in my old age.

Hi Adnileb. Your welcome! I got married because my mother told me that she wanted me married and out of her house. My mother had so many children I guess by time it got to me she was sick of having us kids at home. I am one of the youngest. So I don't blame her. I could join the armed forces but by now I am so old I don't want to be bossed around now. After all in a few years I will be 60 now you see why I don't join now?

Thanks for the welcome, free man!
If that was what you wanted in life, then why did you marry then? Well, I was just asking and it would be okay if you won't answer.
Can you not join the armed forces when you already have family?
Have a nice day!

if there's one thing that i would like to change on my past, it is the way i perceived my father and my husband.
I could have been courageous enough to tell my husband and father what my problem is during that time , while it was still budding. I know i have to face their ire , but i guess it's just but natural for a father and a husband to get angry of that particular problem.
But as to my problem, it made me strong and i will not change it because i learned a hard lesson from it and i know it's god will that it happened.

Hi simplyD..
Good to hear your positive outlook in life... I think everything that's happening is according to God's will. But some say, you can change your destiny if you like to. Maybe that's the good thing for you that's why you let it too. Anyways, hope everything's okay by now.

Two things, about one thing: my eyes. (okay, that's two things two)
One, I'd not look up at the sun so much ... 'looking at the sun' probably contributed to my current near-sightedness
Another big contributor to my near-sightedness was this habit I had of firmly, lightly pushing-in on my closed eyes ... it made me see stars, which I got a thrill out of; but I'm sure there was some damage there.

I'm nearsighted also.. That's the effect? Because I often stare at the sun too when I was a kid. And I love it because it makes me sneeze sometimes.
But I didn't know there is an effect to it.
Maybe there IS damage because I'm wearing eyeglasses now. But I thought this was due to computers.

It's kind of like working-out too much; I think there's an amount of work that's right, as long as it's accompanied by the rest your body needs.
Your body knows this, and so--if you start working your eyes PAST the limit--your brain tells your eyes to relax.
Or not. That might be a good discussion for later.

I would like to change my educational background, Currently I am pursuing Computer Engineering but my favorite subject was chemistry, I want to take chemistry(H) after Higher Secondary ie class 12. But due to my family interruption I have to take Computer as my main subject. If now I get the chance I would like to take chemistry as my main subject...

Maybe you could still take them after you studied main subject on computer. So you would have two main subjects. That's additional point BUT vomputer and chemistry isn't that much related at all. So I guess, you're right. Just pursue chemistry when you have a chance. Good luck ashish! And welcome to mylot!

to change something from my past... well it's all about how we view the past, "those who don't know their history, they will repeat it". I think it's a good thing to sometimes look back in the past and see how we have done that thing and next time do not do it in the same way.
I do not want to think at the mistakes and regrets from the past as bad things, because they already belong to the past and we can't change them, i like to think at them as lessons! yeah, lessons, so next time you're stronger, you're better!
Every moment in our life is unique and new, even if we don't realize this often and most of all is OURS! and at the end all bad things pass, all wounds heal, time cures everything!

First things first, welcome to mylot nick!!
Yeah, you're right, past is past. And it will be good if all the mistakes we had from the past will serve as lessons to us. But some people turn it into bad influence for themselves. They tend to ruin their lives because of what had happened to them. But lucky you for you can still think straight that each mistake should be considered a lesson for us. And yes, every moment is new, so much likely if seize it. Time heals all mistakes but only if forgotten, I think.

Hi weasel...
Many people get hurt because of that love thing. And sometimes there comes the worst regret that we have. Loving the person you seem so right yet in the end it turns out it's the other way around but then again you don't have any chance at all..

Its not really that big deal you want to change in your past. But lucky you that is the only part you want to change. Me if there is one thing I would like to change in my past, is meeting my beau. I just hope and wish that I did not meet him 4 yrs ago. because I no longer dont know myself now. I am so much into him and its not giving any good on me. I dont like this but I could no longer control it. I want to stop it but I will end up miserable, even if I am already miserable in this relationship. Duhh, got confused me as well I am confused. sorry about that.

Yeah, that wasn't a big deal. Actually there are lots of things that I wanna change and if I put them all here, maybe you'll get tired reading them. So I chose the simplest.
I got confused a bit with what you said. If you don't mind me asking, what was exactly your problem about your relationship? But if you don't wanna tell, it's okay, I respect your privacy. I was just confused and don't know what to exactly say to you.

Wow.. What a positive attitude you have there luram...
I think that's the one thing all of us should have in life --- contentment.
Many people though have it though. I admit sometimes I am not contented with my life though I can't find reasons why I shouldn't be.

If i could change something about my past, it would be to marry at the right time. I married early and I immediately had 3 kids. It pains me to think that I could not give what they want. They have to be patient waiting for the time I have available money to buy what they are dreaming. At times, I could hardly buy delicious dish for them. If I did not marry early, I would have saved for my future family. But of course, I do love my kids and I have no regrets they are my kids. It's just that they did not arrive at the best moment.

Hi lingay...
Maybe you could strive more on your work then. But if all you will help each other, nothing is impossible. What's important is, you're all happy together. Delicious meal isn't important at all as long as you still eat the right meal. You can surpass that soon. Just have faith.

If I could change my past, I will do more study on the time that I spend more in playing video games. I play a lots of video game before and I spend many of my years for that. Nice post? Thanks axl!
Maybe you can just practice by yourself on how you will answer the interview. Everything can be learned just how you learned when you were just starting to play video games. Search for some site that gives you an idea of questions so that you can prepare for the answer. Just be confident and smart, it can help you on your interview. Best of luck!

If only I could change my past. I wanted to change how I perceive my Life, I want to change the time when I was growing up. I want to change the time wherein I wanted to discover my Passion. Past is Past what else can I do? I should learn from it.

i would have decided not to go into business and stuck to freelance jobs instead, I was trying my hand in business even though I knew I didnt have the patience for it. I lost ***,***.00 worth of my money :( but its okay, that is a lesson learned for me. I am not cut out for business anyway :)

Yayks! That's a big amount! What kind of business was that that made you lost that amount of money? Anyways, everything happens for a reason and sometimes that reason is just so hard to understand. And will make it to the point wherein you will really lost everything. But at least, you learned your lesson, that's the best part there.
