Yes I have tried many wild rices of various colors and they are nuttier in flavor then plain white rice. I also found they take longer to cook but are good if you toast them first to speed the cooking along a bit. They pair well with bolder meats such as boar and salmon.

Well it has the same amount of carbohydrates but it also has more fiber so it sorta matters what you are going for. Another thing you can try is swapping rice for barley. It too has more fiber and protein.

Well I have tried them and they are really the same as those white rice but they taste a little grainy or something can't really explain it. But I feel they taste a little sweeter.
They say they are more healthy for you because they don't have any chemicals in them.

Yes, I have. I did not quite like it. Some say it is healthy alternative, but I don't think it would make much of a difference. Plus, black rice is expensive so there is little motivation to try it anymore.

Why would it taste bad? It's simply rice of a different variety, does brown rice taste bad? White rice is simply polished rice, Black rice is more violet or purple than black and very nutritious, your from the Philippine so you probably know that black rice is used more for sweet rice dishes like "suman" or "biko", the same way sticky rice or "malagkit" is used and not usually for meal or table consumption ( breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Never thought its the same thing used in suman, biko. As far as I know, biko get its color from molasses or latik. They are not naturally black. Maybe I thought im not familiar with them because havent seen it cooked purely all black rice like what I saw on TV.
