Which one do I buy the IOS4 Ihone by Apple or the Desire HD from HTC. I heard that HTC desire HD has a very poor battery life. Is it true? If someone is using these phones it would be most helpful if you could give me first hand information. All suggestions are welcome but the main points of concern for me are:
1. Is the battery life of Desire HD bad?
2. How is the battery life of Desire HD vis-a-vis the Iphone?
3. Which phone is more easier to tweak with?
4. For which one can I find more free applications which I can install on my own?
5. What accessories should I get in case I decide to go for one of these?

Look my friend,
The HTC DESIRE HD is no doubt a good smartphone but I'll advice you to wait for sometime and buy the HTC SENSATION. The htc sensation is a lot better superphone that the htc desire hd and will be launched around in early JUNE.
It has a dual core processor,4.3 inch highest resolution screen ever on an android device,8 megapixel camera and comes with android 2.3 gingerbread upgradable to the next upcoming version of android ice-cream gingerbread. Looks and feels amazing with HTC SENSE 3.0 which everybody and geeks like going crazy to have.
DESIRE HD AND THE APPLE IPHONE 4 is nowhere compared with the HTC SENSATION and the SAMSUNG GALAXY S2.HTC desire has poor battery life and it's a true fact. So for you if you want to buy now i'll suggest samsung galaxy s2 over anything else till the htc sensation launches.
In the end you'll be greatly satisfied if you follow my advice my friend. It's all about user experience and personal satisfaction. Goodbye. Reply.

sorry that was a typo. the next version of android is called ice-cream sandwitch. (not official). Android is at an advantage over apple ios. So go for android.
HTC SENSATION or the SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 or the LG OPTIMUS 2X.
Your 3 choices. Now you decide. Remember to trust me.

Heya,
I haven't used either phone personal, but am an owner of the Galaxy S, have extensive experience with Android(used by the Desire HD) as well as iOS(used by the iPhone). Being an Android enthusiast, I have played around with a lot of Android phones too. I'll answer your questions based on that:\
1 & 2). The Desire HD's battery last a day on medium usage, i.e. some web browsing, calls, messaging, emails. However, after a few tweaks my friends were able to make it last about 2 days. The iPhone4's is supposedly 'slightly' better.
3). You can mess around with both phones, but much much more with the Desire HD. You can even install a custom designed OS from the Internet for the Desire HD. That's because it runs the Android operating system, which is open-source, unlike iOS used by Apple.
4). A greater number of free and full versions of Applications can inarguably be found on Android than iOS, so the Desire HD would be the way to go.
5). I'm not sure about what accessories you might need, since you already get the pouch with the Desire HD, and an iPhone4 gives a free bumper case I believe (which you actually "need" due to its antennae problems).
Good luck deciding!
