I Guess JoAnne Kluppenburg spoke too soon when she claimed "Victory"

Candidate for Wisconsin State Supreme Court, JoAnne Kloppenburg claimed victory yesterday because the unofficial vote reporting to the press gave her a little over 200 vote majority over incumbent Justice David Prosser.
But wait! There's more!
During the canvas to verify the votes (but after the unofficial count was released to the press), it was found that the entire city of Brookfield, WI was omitted from the vote count.
"The new totals showed Prosser with 92,263 votes in the county, while Kloppenburg had 32,758. That netted Prosser 7,582 votes, compared to the initial tally reported by The Associated Press."
Which means that Prosser wins with a lead comfortable enough to negate a state paid recount. If Kloppenburg wants to demand a recount, that is her right (and she probably will), but she will have to raise the money to pay for it.
Of course, the left is going to cry foul, but before any of them (or you) do, read the following quotes...
"went over everything and made sure that all the numbers jived up, and they did."
"I'm the Democratic vice chair of Waukesha County, so I'm not going to stand here and tell you something that's not true," Ramona Kitzinger, the Democratic member of the county board of canvass.
She is also the Vice Chair of the Waukesha County Democratic Party.
Of course there will continue to be calls for investigations of this and other irregularities, and rightly so. But the official count does put Prosser as the winner, not Kloppenburg.
Note: I could have used any number of links, but I chose the DailyKos specifically so those of you on the left won't challenge the link.

I guess she believes everything she reads in the press. Not a good quality for a lawyer, or a Supreme Court Justice. ;~D

Ouch, that has to be a big blow to Kluppenburg's pride. Apparently, this has been another colossal waste of Union funds.

When they declare it official, that's when I will feel comfortable about it. There's probably some "forgotten" ballots in someone's car trunk that will mysteriously be found and need to be counted for Kloppenburg before this is all over. I mean, how long did it take them to figure out that Franken hadn't actually won? Just long enough that he was already certified and seated. That's all they have to do and they've worked so hard and sunk so much money into this, that I can't see them giving it up so easily as accepting a mere 7,000 vote lead.
