Hi lingaypaculdar, I like to plant vegetables too although I do not have a garden. I have a small balcony where I have kept a lot of clay pots. This year I have planted chillies, green peppers, tomatoes and red sorelle started from seeds that a blogger from Malaysia sent me. I love working with plants, they are s great stress buster for me. :) What are camote tops, though? I never heard of these before.

Camote is root crop that is abundantly planted in the Philippines. It is noted for its high nutrient content (that's for its leaves and tubers). Just these years, many are claiming that it helps increase platelet count for dengue victims. Its roots are like that of a potato. By the way, it is called sweet potato in English.

Oh Okay, I know that one! We too eat a lot of sweet potatoes in India! A new word in my vocabulary! :) Thanks for the information, although I didn't know that they are now being recommended for Dengue victims!

I started my vegetables garden last year, I planted cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, spinach, lettuce, cabbage, strawberries, peas, carrot, I think that's it in my garden. Lots of them came out great but I will do less this year because I learnt my lesson last year that I planted too many kinds in my garden so some of them didn't grow very well because of the lack of space for their root. So far I planted pea in the garden already because they are not scared of the cold, I started eggplant indoor and look forward to trying italian squash. I might do tomatoes but the groundhog and the squrriel ere very brutal to my tomatoes last year so we'll see. I like gardening, I am excited when I see the fruit coming.

wow, I just wish I have bigger space to plant crops. I really enjoy planting vegetables, but limited space is my problem. But anyhow, I'll just ty to maximize what is available. Hey I think it's so nice to look at that indoor eggplant you have planted. Maybe, I'll try during this Easter vacation. My beans have just sprouted and my kids would fight as to who will be the one to water them (the're as excited as me about the plants.

I love camotes although I have never planted any. How do you plant them? Why do you speak of camote tops? Do you just plant the top and eat the rest? Please tell me
