Strange Things Happening

Yesterday afternoon at around 4pm my time, strange things happened with my account in mylot. I could not post any responses however I changed and revised the wordings and even wrote only one sentence without any emoticon and a full stop as the only punctuation.
I do talk to myself and often forgot that I was in public before I smile remembering a funny or happy event.
It still showed:
unable to post content. please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation.
I could not even send a PM nor logout of my account till I left for the office. Could someone tell me what happened? Could it be someone was hacking my account at the time? Did any of you also experience this?
Now, I am really worried

Hi jen!
It happened with me also. I immediately other mylotter on email to check whether she is also facing the same problem. When she confirmed it, I took a sigh of relief. Apparently, there was some technical glitch and mylot did not work for few hours.

dpk Instead of panicking like that and sending email to other mylotters all that you had to do was to check 'recent' discussions where the timing of the discussion topic is given and if you found that the timing was way behind then it was an indication that it was a general complaint. That is what I did!

Same thing happened with me yesterday, Jenny. I could not post the whole day. 
It showed "unable to post, please try again..!!" Again, and i kept doing that for two to four times and it just won't post ! I thought some of you might also be facing the same thing ? I had started two discussions yesterday and i was not able to reply.

I did not have that problem with this site, but I had problems with another site today. I have seen three or four other posts that are talking about these problems today. I have responded to all of them. Any place that relies on computers is liable to have a glitch. It all seems to be alright now.

On the same day, you posted this discussion I had the same issue.
And, after dealing with Mylot for a couple hours trying to log out,
I finally gave up and asked a friend to come over to Mylot to check it out.
Turns out others were going through the same issue.
It seems to be something a lot of people went through.

Hi Dear Jennyze! I too faced the similar problem like you had! Rather it was the exactly the same where I got a message on the top of my answering box in red letters stating 'Unable to post content.Please modify your text to only include letters, numbers and standard punctuation'. I try to post my discussions two to three times and having seen that this thing was repeatedly appearing, I copied the content and saved in separate file which I posted say after three hours or so successfully! I think there was some thing wrong with the site only other wise how can we both had the similar problem? Thanks for getting this problem into the light, so that it would be known to others and they can be prepared for this! Thanks !

Hello Jenny,
We all faced that problem. I have started (my recent) topic then it gone well after that I tried to post replies to my friends, I also got the same message, before somebody told me that this problem is going on. I got some mails in personal id asking about the glitch in mylot. Fortunately in evening, the problem solved. Your topic is still there. I entered in my risk.

hello jennyze! it's been a long time since we last seen each other here, don't you think? I'm happy i heard from you again. well, i am not that activce in here anymore.
anyways, about your topic, that was strange huh?
i had experienced not making a post which you have encountered like typing then the computer or the site itself can't accept what you are typing. but i have logged out and refreshed my pc that time. what happened to you is strange. maybe the computer don't like what you have stated, is that?

I missed you too my friend!
Yes, there are times I find it hard to get connection and I am as well busy taking care of my niece. she's now having summer class before joining her first schooling in kindergarten by june. So much things to do that's why I find it hard to find time being in here. When I also have free time I can't connect,too bad isn't it?

This is nothing new with mylot. In all the time that I’ve been here, this has happened quite a few times. I do remember the first time this happened with me, I panicked like you. I was a newbie and had a few genuine friends whom I could email for help or assurance…I was sure that I had inadvertently done something and that my account was gone LOL…I was in a grumpy mood for the entire day and it was only much later when I logged again and saw similar discussions, I understood that it was a glitch from mylot’s side. This time when it happened again, I was not alarmed but irritated.

I am also stressed yesterday and I want to have some form of relaxation. I thought of signing in to mylot and participating to the different discussions here. Unlike you, I was not even able to open my account. I keep on signing and typing my password for many times but I just couldn't get in. Then, there comes out the message "Run Time Error". I thought I was just having some problems with my connection but when I go to other site, it was okay. I tried to use other browser but I still got same message. I gave up finally and just decided to switch to facebook and youtube.

Hi Annierose, it's quite some times since I saw you last time. And when you were about to have fun here you could not even login. That must be so distressing to you. I was able to respond and comment before 4pm our time, but soon after it was no go. o, I left last night without logout. It's good now that everything back to normal.

There was definitely an issue and no one could respond and or start discussions. We are both in different times zones so it was early morning here when it happened and it lasted about 4 hours before the issue was fixed.
I had to be some sort of script issues because we could log in but no way of participating to anything. Am glad it did get resolved because it was quite a boring time. lol

I haven't had any problems, but I know a lot of people have been posting that they have. Most people had problems like your's or they couldn't post or reply. It's probably just something going on with the site.. I don't think you were being hacked :) It's always good to ask though!
