My baby had always been healthy, he is very healthy looking, he is even over weight for his age. Though he is not that fat but by bulk he is really heavy. I notice though that he used to suffer from cough almost every month since January. Yesterday morning i noticed that he is having a hard time breathing, his tummy moves so drastically that it haven't happen before. So i brought his to the pedia and hola the pedia confirmed that my baby got asthma. He need to be put in medication for 2 month and after 2 months we will be visiting the pedia again for a checkup.
Is it still possible to cure his asthma since he is still a baby? My husband got asthma too. I heard stories from other mom that when asthma occurred during infant-hood it is curable unlike for grown-ups.
Please share.

They can out grow the asthma when they are young even through the teenage years it can be cured or out grown. Do note that it is over diagnosed in this medical day in age when the issue may be something in the home. Often people do not realize they have a toxin in the house that can cause symptoms that mimic asthma. This too could be your husbands issues if he did not have it before the home you are in. Toxins can be different types of molds in the carpet, walls or structure. Asbestos in the housing material. Formaldehyde in the building materials and or other chemicals used in press boards. Spray and other chemical household cleaners can have this effect as well as chlorine. I myself was diagnosed with asthma and in fact it was an allergy to chlorine. We put filters on the household water supply (the local water is chlorinated for health reasons) buy non-chlorine bleach and I stay our of pools and hot tubs. See the thing is for two years I took medicines for the wrong thing so they never really worked just made me sicker. When either your husband or son has an attack take note of what was being done, where you were and what they touched. If you keep a diary of it you may be able to see a trigger. If it is asthma it is good to know the triggers. If it seems as though one specific thing sets it off it might be that thing. Also try changing out the sheets every other or every night as dust mites can be a reason also. Good luck!

Thanks so much. I will take note of the things/item that you have mentioned or the triggering effect that will or might cause asthma for both of them. As what they say prevention is better than cure. Makes me feel good that babies will just outgrow this condition as they grow older. Actually it is the first time for me to witness such condition that cause me to panic. It has something to do with my poor zbaby having a hard time breathing. Thanks so much.
