I am not expecting a reward from people whom I did good deeds instead, I am expecting my reward from God.

well my ethics professor has said something about this one. I have reworded it a little so it might sound wrong or something.
he said that people who do good things is always looking for something in return whether it would be monetary gain, feeling of accomplishment and something else.
He made an example of a nun who helps people. the nun does not get something in return directly but in helping other people the nun gets self awarness, self gratitude and such so that is something returning to the nun not nothing.

well as people are really diverse we really don't need to be united on one opinion or another. As long as that person are doing good deeds even if they are expecting returns or something i am all for it.

Hi. lalabo. I don't think that we should expect to receive a reward for doing a good deed. If we have earned a reward we may receive one. Sometimes we will know about it, and sometimes we won't. I believe in doing things to not be noticed. I do it because I love someone or something and I want to help make a difference in life. It does not really matter if I am rewarded for it. I can rest assure that God will reward me in Heaven.

Of course not, doing a good deed alone is rewarding in itself. Doesn't it give you a good feeling when you help someone without having to expect anything in return? Besides I believe in karma, you reap what you sow. If you have done good, then good things will come to you eventually.

For me, no. I have this instinct that I would not ask any reward from any work I do/helped the person. Whatever I did, I never ask for any reward. I would only accept rewards whenever I am rewarded so. But I guess it is just me that do not want to receive any reward from any deed I do. Even though people may say that I'm too humble, once you realized that you are humble, you just lost your humility. Just like that.
