Do you ever check your spelling before you send something?

Hi,my dear Mylotters!
So I was just wondering if you check your spelling before clicking "send" when you talk with someone on the Internet.I have one foreign friend who has some issues with spelling the right words.I think he is just being lazy or something.But it sometimes can give me a headache if he doesn't spell words right since I'm not a native speaker.Given me the right context,I may understand.But if it's some words or background I don't know,I just can't figure it out.Yet I do have many friends who would check his/her spelling.Sometimes they click "send" first and then they find they made a mistake,they would soon correct it.
So which type of people do you belong?Would you check before or after you send?Or would you just let it be?
Looking forward to your replies.

Hi,sender621!
Well,I think we all make those small typing errors sometimes.I also try my best to avoid that from happening.But I think that as long as those errors are not infecting our reading,it would be okay.I mean,if you spell "him" "hm",we may still understand it if given the context.But if they have many errors in one article,it would just be terrible.

For me it is quite important that not only I spell but grammatically write correctly. I can understand when it is a language barrier but when someone who can speak the language fluently sends correspondence with so many errors I get like you, super headache indeed.
I type the same way I think so the language and spelling flow naturally, however I also have spell check option set in my Firefox to immediately identify errors. Something all should do actually. Especially if it is members who write articles. Not doing so one looses their ability to instantly identify the errors.

I remember once you messed up with the spelling of our seniormost lotter and immediately realized the typo I lost all hopes on the re-type now as If I start doing it, MyLot will think I am seriously doing it as a habit to increase my participation so eventually do not do the correction thing many a times

@hardworkinggurl:
So what is the add-on?I wanna install it to my Firefox as well.Sounds like a good one.
@thesids:
Yup,maybe it's not a wise choice to retype it.Maybe you can send a private message.

I usually check my spelling before I send something away. I just want it to be spelled right before I send it. Alot of programs and websites have a spell checker built right in and I like that alot because I am a fast typer and I make alot of mistakes.

Well yes I use my computers spell checker but sometimes a mistake slips by the spell checking software, I've never been good at spelling or writing I can read fine, but I'm awful at spelling. so you'll probably see a lot of grammar and speling erorrs but I do try to check my spelling but my grammar and spelling will never be perfect.

I have added an US spell checker for the boxes in my browser and it does a good job at myLot, but a spell checker does not correct grammar and I believe I am still doing many errors.
I like also to see and write a good spelling in my language, though, except if there is a fault at each word making the reading difficult, I do not attach a great importance to the spelling of the mails or letters I receive.

I always check my spelling when writing e-mails or when posting but of course there are times that I fail to do so or fail to notice some misspelled words. I don't check my spelling that much however in chatting since most people like to read short messages in chat.

i check my spelling as i type the words. i don't use words that am not familiar with spelling anyway. plus it's easy cause when you're wrong, it has a red underline.
i'm not a native speaker as well. sometimes, or most of the time hehehehe, my grammar is incorrect but at least comprehensible. i guess it's ok as long as it can be read and relating to the topic.

What we write and how we write give our impression to the receiver. It is very important to check and recheck our spellings before sending any mail or message out. I always try to minimize my spelling mistake and other errors. I do not like to make typos in my writing. In conversation, as body language is important in verbal conversation and gives idea about the truth, spellings are very important factor of written communication and they can approve or reject our request or application.

So I try to at least go back and look over to make sure I didn't make a total nerd move and botch my spelling but sometimes I'm too tired or in a really big hurry when sending something so I won't do it. Unfortunately... those are they times that I make a really bad typo that leaves me wondering what was I thinking? I did that just a few weeks ago. I went back and put my usual "disclaimer" on there saying I apologize if my spelling typo offended anybody because it really wasn't meant that way.lol
