Does age make you more aware of caring for others?

Generally speaking, as we grow older, we tend to care more for others. But as I can see now, there are more younger people who are much caring than the older ones. Perhaps it's also a change we have to accept. Some of the old guys in my work (nurses) are more irresponsible compared to the young ones. I just can't believe that there are these people who have reached a mature age without being caring for others. It bothers me... I wish I could do something...

I think so, the more years pass by seems we get wiser, and comprehend more our mistakes, we try not doing things again so for example we all hurted someone in the past so we try to not do that specific mistake again, and we try to avoid others. When children grow up they start to see how horrible they were as a teenager and regret the way they threated their parents...
I think each 10 years is very different. And we be more carrying.
Someone at age of 45, 50 and so that are not kind or wise I find really, but reallllllllllly stupid.

I have experienced that people in all ages have concern for others. As well as people have little concern for others in various age. I believe it is very indivudual how people are constructed to feel compassion and care for other. I think when you have been through hardship you have a more humbled attitude and concern for others. Younger people who has learnt to care naturally do it altrustic.

Well it depends how people see the world. There are lot of people who have there eyes open but so very blind in caring to other people, in other words, "selfish". They only care about their selves. Age become matter in caring because of experienced, realizing the effect of giving goodness to others. GOD made me see HIS kingdom to this world, and one of them is by giving care to others. GOD BLESS YOU!!! :)

I do. I'm 20, I'm not too old, but I'm not a teenager anymore. Since I've been growing I have developed a caring feeling, like a mom. I make the food, I clean the house, I call my younger sister when she's much time out, I call my mom when is late and she doesn't back from the work, I wake up them at the morning, I make the breakfast, I don't know, I like take care of them, is kind of weird, but I'm almost like a mom now...

I think that it all depends how people are bought up.I was always a person that was told to treat people the same way as they treat you, also if you are caring towards others then, it makes you feel as good as the person you have helped.I do think though that as we get older we all really mature, so that is some of the reason as well.

The older I got I have most definitely become more caring than I was when I was younger. I have taken into consideration how others feel and how I would feel if I was that person.I can honestly say when I was younger I was selfish.
