Which is which? PPC, CPA or CPL?

I having so much time in internet marketing and I still doubt which is better using the Paid per click (PPC), Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) and Cost Per Lead (CPL). If you have experience in doing those method in making money please voice out your answer. Because my other friends encourage me to use cpa and cpl but i usually use ppc. Do you think my decision is right or i should take their advice. I'll be waiting for your answer guys.
