Chance of a 3rd World War and a 4th World War?

Hi DoctorDidi, A third world war would probably destroy civilization as we know it. If the human race was not destroyed completely, it would send the few who were left back to the stone age. It would than take hundreds of thousands of years to get us back anywhere near to where we are today. Lets hope we never see it. Blessings.

With all of the conflict that we've been seeing in the world in recent times, I really do think that there is a good possiblity that there will be a third world war and most likely it is going to be something that we see sooner rather than later. With that said, I don't think that there will be a World War beyond a third one because of the fact that warfare today is so much different than it was a century ago when the first and second world wars occurred.

There is always a chance for both third and forth world wars. The apocyliptic stuff goes on and why shouldn't the world factions continue going against rules and making it hard for everybody. I think why the government shut down would have been a great time to have started one. But that's just me!

Yes, there is a chance, for sure. however, the way war is conducted evolved and we may not see something like the previous two WW's.

There is little chance of 3rd of 4th world war. I think many people want peace than war, and that is the value of modern people. Small countries cannot start world war 3 or 4, but big countries will. I think the two possible powers to start one is America and China. If they can not or they want peace in the world, there is no foreseeable world war. Do not create panic or give ideas to world leaders, hahahaha, just kiding.

I think in some ways were are ina WWIII! With what is going on in Iraq,Afghanistan and Libya it seems like it! I don't know if the Untid States would ever go inot another World War unless we were terrorized again. Remember 9/11/2001? Even if we did the draft would be put in place again! We haven't enough volenteers as it is and we should wouldn't have many takers if the draft wasn't back in place! So hopefully that won't happen!

In the words of einstein "i don't know what weapons the third world war will be fought with but the fourth will be fought with sticks and stones".As nuclear weapons become available to less stable states the risk of a war involving them increases which would be a catastrophe for the whole world.

Well I think there is really a good chance where ww3 or even 4 will happen but i don't know if we will still be here when that happens.

The possibility of a 3rd World War exists, even being humans more mature, experienced, more intelligent and tollerant on one side, we still carry on with egoism, wanting to be more powerfull, more rich and so on. If the existing organizations like ONU is not able to stop a 3rd World War, this one wouldn't give place to a fourth one, because the destruction would be so inminent and big that the result of this war would leave a big desaster.

I do think so.a third world war is a near possibity with what is happening in libya right now.i believe there are pro ghadafi forces lurking around the world right now.if they are activated,that smells war.hopefully this war at libya right now will end in peace as many Filipinoes are still out there.

As long as humans greed continue to grow, there will always be war. Someone might decided to press the button and started shooting nuclears any moment now. So for now, just live like today is your last. You will never know. You might die the next day because of a nuclear bomb.

I havent been watching the news to much lately at all but I really pray and pray that there is not a 3rd or 4th world war. That would be devestating..and my little brother is joining the Marines in the next few months so my prayers go out to everyone in the war now and their families and loved ones.

WW3 will be WWZ. Ahhhhhggggggggg! I don't see the point in wasting time worrying over such things.

War is so unpredictable. We can never know what what will set one off and what countries will be involved. The possibility of a 3rd and 4th world war is always something to consider.

Let's hope we never find out. If we ever did have a WW3 and it was to the scale of the first 2 then i doubt we would come out of it to well. Too many countries now have access to nuclear weapons and would use them so a WW4 would be most unlikely as we would be picking up the pieces for years to come. But i believe we will never reach that level of warfare again.
