Family means different things to different people. What does family mean to you? For me, family doesn't mean those that I'm related to. For me, it means that I have a group of peoople around me that I know will look out for me, and who will support me no matter what. It also means knowing I can confide in people and trust them to keep my confidences.

To me, a family is a group of people that you share very close bond with. You can live with someone who is of the same flesh and blood but if you never get along, you will never call him a brother/sister/mother/father. On the other hand, it is normal to call someone who isn't of the same flesh and blood but have always live with you in happiness for the past 10-20 years a bro/sis/mom/dad.

I know this will probably sound harsh to many people, but I don't consider the family I'm a part of as my family. In other words, I don't have a close bond with my parents or my sibling. Those who know of and follow my blog will understand why. I do however have many friends that I consider as family. Or as it is often referred to, my family of choice.

Family is everything to me, I wouldn't know where I'd be without them. They've helped me so many times when I've gotten into trouble, they might not have approved but they've always been there for me. In my family you take care of each other and stay together.

For me family is very important. My family means trust and someone I can lean on. I love having a close family that is always there to support me. I can't imagine my life without them! They're always there when I need a shoulder to lean on or even when I don't necessarily "need" them. They're great company and we always have a wonderful time together! I love my family!

Family is the basic foundation of one's culture, every person belong to a family which may be anchored on both parents, surrogate parents or single parent. whatever becomes a person, great attribute is given to his family. We may, therefore, say that behind every person's success or failure is a strong or weak family.

For me, family is being with a group of people that care about you. People that you can run to in good times and in bad times. They may be your friends, workmates, classmates. But when everyone leaves you behind, those that are related to you will always be there for you. That's why I love my family so much. They're always there to support me and guide me all the way.

Not being raised with my own family I have no idea what family meant until I had my two children. My two chilren is what family means to me. Mother, daughter and son loving and dependable relationship. Friends can also mean family provided that they all look upon one another with unconditional love and care. I have a few members here on myLot that I consider family, people whom I can trust unconditionally to talk to who will listen and not judge me in any way.
