Hi lotters, it's been awhile since I've created any discussion. In fact, it's been a long, long time. But I shall start one today. This topic errs a bit on controversial side, so be prepared to answer this at your own risk. I know it's a violation of myLot rules to be having more than one IDs here. But have you ever wondered that you are answering the same discussions by the same new user over and over again?
Perhaps the person doesn't slot their paypal account and create multiple IDs just to have some bits of fun with all of us here? If so, would you guys feel 'cheated' for answering then. If there's a chance to know, would you guys ever want so? How do you guys feel about this. Please be honest and sincere, thanks and have a great day to all.
Please take note that this is a hypothetical question. I don't know and won't know.

hi zed no not at all. thats called playing dirty pool. for one thing if mylot admins finds this person using multiple ids he or she will be
out on their ear to use a few colorful metaphors or whatever s. I would
hate to be gamed like that and to respond to a crooked mylotter. What fun
is this to cheat people.no indeed honesty in all things has always been
my motto and its served me pretty well too.Fun is something comic not something crooked.

Hiya Hatley , I like how you answer there. Yes, absolutely crooked mylotter is what I will think of as well. I wonder if trolls may resort to this method now , what do you think?? You are so right .. for all the laughter we have had with these colorful characters , they are indeed from the same person. They can be anybody they want. But one thing's for sure , they can't claim earnings from all those IDs , because we can only set one paypal ID to ourselves. Not that it matters to them , but still ..

haha =D IF there's such happenings in mylot, i won't be surprised at all.. lol =D I'm sure there are members whom tried to cheat in mylot, in order to boost their earnings. IF i were to see the same discussions, i will respond, but only twice and not more because it's gonna be boring. What's more, if all of the same discussions were to be deleted, won't i be wasting my time in responding?? haha =D SO far, i have not seen similiar or exact same discussion appearing more than 2 times. I guess mylot has its job done quite well.. haha

Hi zed, hope you have been well - Maintaining one id is a difficult task, since the intention here is to discuss and earn. I find it difficult to do full justice to that, so there is no question of having multiple ids.If I do post a comment on those ids which are fake or duplicate I wouldn't feel cheated since I go by the topic of discussion and post when I find something interesting, so I give credit to the topic...all the best and enjoy your evening zed

So my favorite nephew is here...how are you doing kiddo? :)
Well, honestly... for me.. no... it doesnt matter..people differ in opinions at different times based on varied experiences that they come across..or frame of mind... so multiple discussions on same topic is fine... you see lawyers phrase the same question differently to get the required answer... likewise, they might be doing it.. though why they need multiple IDs beats me..I am not intelligent enough kiddo...to answer that.:)

I have not really felt that I have been responding to the same person under different IDs probably because it has never occurred to me that thing is done here. Now that you have brought it to my notice, I will see if I can catch anyone which actually means more work for no extra money!

Hi zed
Good and bad co-exist everywhere even within us. So why not at MyLot. Yes, it would be bad to know if the two discussions were from the same person but two different accounts... but as long as I dont know, it is good that I dont know.
For Why people go for multi-accounts at the same time, I am not sure and have no idea because the only one account could get them the same money if they spent the time here... (Time spent on MyLot with two accounts clubbed into one).
MyLot's allowing the family member's sharing the same Paypal ID makes the tracking difficult even for them... Though they have this from a nobler vision, it is always the noble ideas that invite more trouble these days

Hi thesids , thanks for coming here to my discussion.
I especially like this last part which you said , "it is always the noble ideas that invite more trouble these days." Such wise word and you couldn't have said it better. Why people go for multiple accounts are beyond me too. Maybe they have their own reasons for doing that.
But I wonder if this method is used by an Internet troll nowadays to gain trust from others and then using a sock puppet account to irritate that same person or selected group of people.
Or perhaps they can drive attention to their real ID which they slot paypal too , so the hype will be all about them. I don't know , the possibilities are endless and like you too , I don't really care if it's not happening to me , but sometimes you may get a sense of things if you observe more. Which I'm sure you have or will be because you're such a wise person here. I enjoy your discussions , see you around the lot thesids.

I only hope that such trolls get caught but not humiliated here on this great platform as humiliation will only breed anger and malice

Hi zed-k4, I'm not an observant person and never notice that there are users having more than one account. I come here during my leisure sharing what I know in posts which I'm interested. most probable I have joined in in simillar topocs from the same person with different account as well as multiple usernames. I would like to know who they are out of my curiosity if chances are given to reveal thoses users with multiple ids. This would help to avoid from being cheatted as well...seems that it's a bit silly to be made fun by....
Happy posting

Hiya lkbooi , you summed it up just about right. When we chat or discuss with different users , the emotions at that time regarding the topic is different. We base our discussion answers on what the person tells us and behind that monitor it can be anyone , but if we know it's the same 'stranger' each time then it will be like we're cheated. And a bit silly yes like you've mentioned to be made fun by. Thanks for coming.

I'm pretty sure it's been done. I know of one woman that was using her husbands account as well as her own. I told her I knew it was her and she disappeared off the site. I'm sure others were also a wake up to her.
It wouldn't surprise me at all for someone to open an account, sign up under that account with a new account as a referral then stop using the first account. That way, they would be getting an extra 25% of the earnings of the second account in the first one. I think there should only be one member per household.
Anyone that cheats is robbing the rest of us of funds. That's not only against the rules - it's a low act.
It's the same as those who get their friends to attack another user and/or rate them negative to bring down their star and also their earnings.
There will always be dishonest people wherever you go though....the same people who scream the loudest when someone does or says something against them.

You've thought out your answer well , it's what I have in mind too when I come out with this discussion. Somewhere along those lines , I'm sure it might have been done and yes , so true ..robbing the rest of us funds ... that's just not cool. It's great that you pointed out to the woman that she's using her husband's account and her own as well. Not cool for sure. Thanks for coming , MsTickle. Great to see you around the lot still.

Well, I have seen some people do that and I have two thoughts on it. The first one is how do they ever find the time?! The second is that they must not care very much about other people, because when they get caught and deleted, that takes pennies out of everybody's little earnings here, so there is a matter of principle involved even though the "loss" is not substantial. It does go to character.
But hey, it is so nice to see you on here as it has been quite a while. I am about 120 notices behind in answering discussions, though. This is what learning to play golf does for a person ;-)

I've seen some people do that as well drannhh and I feel very quizzical about it since it kind of defeats the purpose each time looking at different identities all going round and round just trying to say that look I am here to make fun of things or look I hate you to the core and I'm using all these IDs to show my dislike or hatred with you. And if you discover and read it , you can't attack me because these are all different personalities or characters and you'll be the only one crazily mad about it.
But I think it doesn't make the person mad at all. In fact , a bit pitiful to the one behind those IDs to have to resort to this method just to prove a point or something. And they think they've got you red in the face when in actual fact it's not and it's only them showing their truer colors each and every time. That's why I keep saying it kind of defeats the purpose each and every time.
It's OK drannhh , take your time. I'm going through manually sometimes but at other times the notification's going well. WOW , you're starting to play golf or have been for awhile yeah? Awesome.

zed_k4,
I am sticking out my neck out with you on this one, being that we are friends to begin with and that your discussion is relevant.
First off, I would never try to game the system as I just feel that it is both unethical and certainly not worth the trouble, if one is considering maintaining account here in myLot.
As for whatever is going on in these errant parties' mind, I suppose some people just like to bring the thrill on the other side into play that is trying to break the rule or two or every rule. I suppose it is their prerogative and we'll have to live and let live here.

Yes sky , it's certainly their prerogative .. and I've no problems with that. But take a look at Mike's answer ..that's when it becomes unfair to all members of myLot .. somewhere along that scenario would I frown upon. Other than that , it's all in good fun. Take care buddy.

That's not something I would do or even want to do. I'm here mainly for fun, I don't earn enough to make it worth my while to create other identities. I can spend an hour here and make maybe $.20-30 but that same hour spent writing articles will give me $3-6.
Besides, I'm a great believer in "their home, their rules" and I won't violate the rules of a website knowingly.

That's a really good trait to have. Their home , their rules ...
Writing articles give you $3-6 at one time , that's just so cool. Good luck with it. You are right , there's a stark difference for sure. Thanks for coming dragon54u , been awhile hope you are doing fine.

No, and no! I'm not smart enough to game any system, plus, I'm too honest and besides that I've always been caught the first time I tried something bad. The first time I smoked, caught by my dad. The first time I stole, caught. So, cheating the system may work for some but not me. Who has time to cover all their tracks anyway?

I do good to keep up with one account here...so I sure would NOT want to have multiple accounts!!! Since there are people with "multiple personality disorders" they might need an account for each personality!!! Personally, I don't care if somebody has 50 different accounts, I earn from what I say & if they can keep up with discussions for more than one account, I feel sure I can come up with multiple responses!!! If you watch close, people tend to have certain habits. If they have more than one account, their habits will more than likely show up in ALL of them. We had one guy with 2 or maybe 3 accounts. He'd start a discussion with one account & respond by attacking with the second account. It was easy to see it was the same person in both accounts as they ALWAYS misspelled the same words & used the same punctuation & spacing. He didn't know how to punctuate & it stood out in both accounts. I don't report much around here. However, after he viciously attacked himself one day & was asking everybody to take his side, I reported the 2 accounts as "possible duplicate user". Not long after that one of them disappeared. I don't know if Admin busted him or if he just got tired of trying to keep up!!! Even if the discussions are similar, I can expand on my responses so they aren't just alike!!! I have one friend here who is from the US & one is from Europe. They think so much alike I wonder if they aren't one in the same??? They never seem to be here on the same day which makes it seem more likely!!!! Now I must ask...WHO are you on your second account???

As much as I appreciate your thought!!! I would wait atleast 7 days before awarding the BR. You never know what you might get!!! The one guy I reported only seemed to troll himself & then the sweet guy would ask everybody to protect him. He never seemed to troll anybody else!!! There's one lady on here who has a boyfriend who adores her. Only problem...they are one in the same!!! The boyfriend contacts me every so often & says something not so polite about her & I tell him how crazy she is. She doesn't talk to me for the longest time after that!!! I figure she's asking for it!!!!

I kind of feel that would be more work than it's worth. Sure, if you referred yourself, you could get the referral money.. but then you would have to be active in both accounts and go back and forth responding and starting discussions. I'm sure somebody has done it before, but it just seems like a waste of time for me. Especially when you get caught and lose your money.

Me too , steph. I will never , ever attempt to cheat the system. And if I must earn money online , I'll still not game the system in order to get quick bucks aplenty. I'd rather earn it the slower way but knowing that the money's earned honestly without cheating. It's a matter of integrity thing for me and like you've said , to each their own but I wouldn't risk it as well. Thanks for dropping by.

Hello handsome and so good to see you again. Because of your discussion, I'm here myself for the first time in ages! lol
As for multiple accounts here, I've been accused of doing that myself, though it's NOT true. People I found, who have them, are cheating the system or hiding their known user names to harass someone else. Rarely a user will open another account when they inexplicably get shut out of their normal one. But security here on the lot has been updated, and it's more and more difficult to fool admin with more than one account unless you also have access to different IP addresses and those that go to that length are cheaters or they wouldn't bother.
How have you been Zed? Hope life is treating you well...............hugs handsome!

I think I might be disappointed if I knew one of my friends was "having fun" with me. I really care about my friends here and what they have to say. I think I might feel a little cheated if I found out they were responding to me in two different ways under two different identities. I don't suppose I would know the difference if I were responding to them..unless it was the same discussion under two different names. I haven't wondered it before. I am pretty trusting..LOL

Hi their..
Actually this is my second account.. But its not for gaming or cheating purpose. I had deleted the old account and then go for this one..
Well Is anyone doing this.... ?! And i don't anyone should go for multiple account for fun or cheating as they can loose those multiple if admin knows about it some how..

I don't know for sure , but you can take a look at Marissa's answer to be more clearer about it. That's an example of what it's like..
At least you have made it clear that you have another account and it's not for gaming nor cheating purposes which is cool. And since you have deleted your old account that just goes to say you're serious about myLot and a good member too. I can never see you as a troll or in a bad light , just to joke around with you.
I don't know why if anyone is doing this (like in Marissa's story for example). Just defeats the purpose and yes , they can lose all their sock puppet accounts if myLot finds out about it. But if it's the work of a troll , they don't really care and will continue to create more new IDs. But then we will already know if something looks suspicious. Kudos to myLot for continuing to make good of the site.

I m the new user of Mylot team, i like to do this work. I got soo many valuable things from this Mylot site. Also i have learned how to use the english sentence too. Some others cheating by creating soo many ID's but i dont like this type of things and my policy is to be as good as to everyone and kind to each and every living things...
