how do you get rid of this pesky little ants? they are already inside my laptop and its worrying me too much already?
why do they love heat and electricity? our light switches are also destroyed because of them.
we tried the ant chalk, multi insect killer spray, even drown the anthill with soap and water... but they keep on coming back!
i don't know what to do with them anymore!

There could be tiny crumbs in your laptop what I would suggest is take a hair dryer on make sure the setting is on cold and blow the cold air to get rid of the tiny crumbs inside of the laptop keys. That will eliminate them from continuing on getting in their.
Hope this helps at least with the laptop.

wow. thanks for the suggestion! love it. I'll try this on my laptop... just have to borrow someone's hair dryer coz i don't have any.lol i also heard that blowing forced air is a good way to clean it... and i am glad that you are so resourceful on suggesting a hair blower. now why didn't I think of that? =p

Ants in a laptop i have never heard of that problem its a lot less exciting than snakes on a plane. They could be attracted to crumbs in the laptop if you eat as you type the get stuck under the keys there are loads under my keys.I don't know how you are going to get them out without damaging the laptop. If i was you i would try not using it for a while if the heat and electricity is attracting them it may cause them to leave and if they are in the cooling system using the laptop may cause it to overheat and damage the laptop.

Aside from keeping the environment free of ant attracting objects like food, it is recommended that you place the laptop at a perch where it will be a strain for the ants to reach. I have a hunch that somewhere cooled by an electric fan is a good place for the laptop. The air movement cut away the smell coming from the laptop so the ants do not 'see' that the laptop was there. It is the case with my laptop, a fan is pretty near.

Sometimes I see some ants crawling on my laptop screen from time to time too.
I think it't not because of heat and electricity that they're attracted though.
You probably like eating/drinking in front of your laptop, and maybe some food bits or crumbs fell inside the keyboard. Or maybe you left a candy hidden somewhere inside your desk?
But usually the keyboard is easily one of th dirtiest parts of a laptop, so maybe that's where they are staying?

yup. i find them going out my keyboard, but i find them too inside the battery case. as i got the battery out, there they were in the metal thing. i agree on what you've said that the keyboard is one of the dirtiest parts of the laptop and as well as the mouse. how do you clean it then anyway???
i do not eat and drink in front of my laptop. that's why i suspect that heat and electricity as the reason why these ants crawl in my laptop, because as i put the electric fan on in front of it, they usually disappear for quite a while. =p

Some cockroaches like the heat of a TV or a desktop, and there are some varieties of ants who are attracted by the magnetic field surrounding electrical equipment. They can cause short circuits and overheating... In fact any source of current has a magnetic field, and I believe that all your equipment is in danger if you cannot destroy the ants.

I do have big red ants in my house, but they are staying away from my computer for the moment. I have tried many ways to expel them for my house, but it doesn't seem to work at all. I read online about how ants leave trails for other ants to follow. I think the best way is to clear their trail, preventing other ants from smelling what's left behind by the earlier ant.
