I finally "grew" some....

Well after much back and forth and avoiding the situation I finally told my manager that I will not be returning to work. My husband was against me going back to work because he wants me to stay home and take care of my two girls. We are lucky enough that my husband makes enough to support our family and I don't need to work. I kept feeling obligated to go back to work after having my daughter, because my manager really laid a guilt trip on me about how she didn't have anyone else who could do what I did, and that I was a really hard worker. So after much nagging I told her I would come back. Of course the moment I said I would I regretted it. So a few days went by and finally the anxiety about going back to work got to me. I told my manager that I wasn't going to be able to return, and that I was sorry and hope that there aren't any hard feelings. Have you ever had a job that you wanted to leave but couldn't bring yourself to do it? Have you ever quit a job? How did you go about quiting or leaving your job?

Yes, there was a job I had to leave because of health problems. After much deliberation on my part, I've decided to take care of my health first because in the long run if I continued working there, I would only get worse.

So sorry to hear of your health problems. It is defianlty more important to take care of yourself first before your job. A job can be replaced, you cannot so take care of yourself. Thank you for your thoughts and I wish you the best of luck with your health.

You are fortunate that you are in a position not to need to work. I want to leave my job but I need the money and I can't do that until I have another job first. I was actually going to apply for another job in a few minutes. They can guilt you all they want but when it comes down to it they don't care as a worker you are easily replaceable. Companies have no loyalty to employees these days and can easily fire you for whatever reason they want so why should you be loyal to them?

Sadly that is the truth that companies just see there employees as replaceable. I think that this is the best choice for my family and if later on I want to work I'm sure I will find something. Thank you for your thoughts.

It seems that you are in a dilemma. On one hand, your two girls need to look after;on the other, you hate to part with your present work in which you are surely efficient.I think the children are more than the work moreover your husband has decent income and without doubt he can feed the family.
