In 1898,an American writer wrote a science fiction story. In the story,a huge ship set out on her first voyage across the Atlantic Ocaen.Contrary to the belief that it could not sink,it sank after hitting an iceberg, killing most of the 2,500 people aboard.
In 1912,a real ship ,the Titanic, which was also called the "ship of dream" or the "Unsinkable ship",set out on its first voyage .On its way to New York,it hit an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the sea three hours later. It had more than 2'220 passengers aboard,of whom 1'513 did not escape the cold ocean water and died.
Is it an example of how fiction meets reality?

Was that story the one I heard referenced before..the Ship's name in the story was "Titan",I think? The number of stories of people who'd missed the sailing or changed their plans must be quite substantial..and there was at least one psychic who claimed to have predicted the disaster..

As you said, there was a book published prior to the Titanic disaster, with some interesting parallels with the book and what happened that night in the Atlantic..and as I recall, one of those was that the ship in the story was named "Titan"..I have yet to read that Story.I don't think that story was written as a prediction,it was just an amazing coincidence. But in the Legend that's grown around the sinking, there was mention of one noted Psychic claiming She foretold the disaster beforehand.

I heard that titanic story was real but the love in that film was not really found.
I heard that when it was going on Pacific ocean it hit an ice burg as a result water came in and one of the huge ship was broken into pieces
