I think gift vouchers for both of them would be the ideal gift. Nowadays, lots of shops and shopping malls hand out gift vouchers of various denominations, so budget should not be your problem. Also, both of them can go out together and buy what they want. You can always carry a bouquet of flowers with you so that you don’t seem to enter the wedding venue empty-handed and hand over the gift vouchers and bouquet to the newly married couple.

Probably five friends will give them a kettle each. I would prefer to give gifts like unique photo frames. Another possible one would be a great photo album for them to store the memorable moments over the years.

Are they registered anywhere? Some couples look to complete their dishes and glassware with their gift. A gift card to their favorite store could work too.

You can never go wrong with towels and washcloths.... If you do not know there colors by off colors that will go with any decor..... I was at a wedding shower and this one gift was a laundry basket filled with garbage bags, cleaning supplies, air freshners, candles etc..... the bride to be loved it and it was a very creative ideal.... Then there is always picture frames or photo albums...... You can not go to wrong with these items because as you know with a wedding comes a life filled with memories and then children so they will be well received and used in time

Nowadays with so many things available in the market ,it has become very difficult to choose a gift.Giving gifts is nice but there is always the danger of duplication which means that more than one person gives the same gift. Many years back in my city people used to give a milk cooker as a wedding gift and i know that many couples landed with at least half a dozen of them.So they either distributed them amongst their friends or gave them away as gifts to other married couples.Personally i feel that giving hard cash is the best thing as it gives the couple the freedom to do what they want with it or one can buy gift vouchers from a shop and give it to them so they can shop for whatever they want.

Pillows, kitchenware, and gift cheques have been mentioned. Hmm...how about small appliances like oven toaster, coffee maker, juicer, and so on? Or you could try putting cash inside a wedding card. You could add your message and the cash would be very handy for the newly wed.

Hello lady1993, there is always a danger of duplicating things especially when it comes to kitchen appliances and gadgets as most of the guests are well-meaning and end up giving the same things that they think are useful.
I liked the idea of giving the gift certificate of a shop so that the couple can buy whatever they want. On the other hand, if you feel comfortable, just ask them what they would really like to get.
Otherwise, simply gift them with the money that you have maked as your budget towards the gift for the couple. Usually after getting married, the newlyweds do face a shortage of cash with so much money spent on the wedding party, entertaining, food, going away for honeymoon etc. so any extra cash is always welcome at such time. In my country we usually make a gift of money on such occasions.
