Can husband protect you from villans/robbers, like the heroes in the movies?

Hi everybody, Yesterday I was watching a Hindi movie named 'Hum dil de Chuke Sanam'(not a very recent movie!). There was a scene in this movie where the husband and wife have travelled to a Italy. They have gone there to meet the wife's boy friend! They try to reach the bus stop to meet that heroine's boy friend by taking a lift. the couple who gave them the lift were robbers and they try to rob them on their way. So, the hero(the husband) fights against them and tries to chase them away. But unfortunately, one of the robbers' gun gets triggered and they shoot the heroine. She is then hospitalized and finally saved(as she's the heroine!) I just wanted to know, has anyone ever encountered such a situation. Imagine you are the wife, will your husband really attempt to fight against the villan or do such heroic activities? Has any one ever attempted to protect their girl friend or wife this way in real wife? It needs real intelligence and guts to execute such heroic activities in real life. So just curious to know, if such people are 'really' present! Do husbands really consider their wives to be heroines (or rather villans of their life)???

I think in an ideal world we would have our husbands as heroes our own personal hero, the Superman, the gentleman, the knight in shining armour, the Prince all as one! In circumstances like this, where there is danger, violence, aggression, and the need for physical agility and strength I think it's quite important that it is the man who does the protecting and not the other way round where you would have to save your own man.

Hi padu. I seriously don't know what my husband would do at that time! But I definitely would fight till my very last breath to defend my kids from any harm.

I'd like to think my spouse would risk eveyrthing for me as i should be the most important person in life. I like to ask this while watching such kinds of movies. I trust and feel that even in small things though we should be each other's heroes in every day life afetr all that is what married life is all about - being there for one another in everything.

That's very true! One should gain his/her partner's confidence and trust. That is more important than actually 'trying' to prove oneself as a hero or otherwise! Good reply grkelly!

This happen a long time and my wife has forgiven me. I will tell you the story. Several times my wife told me that one of my friend keeps on visiting our house when I was at work. I leave the house at 6a.m. while she leave at 7a.m. My friends always insisted to go in but my wife keeps all doors lock. She knew he will come. The guy will bang the door just to go in then later leave and swear to return again. He even bother my wife at work. I don't believe until onether friend of mine told me how this guy force to malice her wife. I was shocked! My wife is asking for help but i fail to respond. The question is, have I encountered any situation that i need to fight for my wife? Yes! After this, I waited for him and he came bangging our door. He was surprised to see me. I went out. We talked. And my wife embrace me for being on her side---as her protector.

Hey comment_please!! That's indeed a very cool job! Hats off!! No wonder your wife passionately embraced you. It is after all what a girl expects out of her husband - security!

With all decisiveness I would say YES! Husbands can protect their significant other in a more realistic manner. What we see and view on films and movies are just imaginary and ideal. What matters most is the love, comfort, and care that a husband can truly showcase to his spouse and that matters most as being secured and protected all the time. =)

Movies are more of imaginations. According to me, almost all guys generally would attempt safe gaurd the spouse. But not in the same way as in the movies! Watching that movie, I felt how do such non-realistic movies become a hit and are liked by most of us!?!
