I'll be gratuded as a master. It's time for me to find a job. But I don't know what I can do! I do research on Quantum Dots that something about Physics. But there's no company need us to do research. We have to find a job which not realated to my major at all. There' s to much choice for me such as hr(human resource),pm(product manager),salesman, marketing and so on.And I don't know which job I can do,and which I can do the best. Do you have the situation like this? How did you handle it?

all you need to do is to expand your horizons. probably you are just focusing on companies in your country. try to explore other territories, and you'll be surprised at the number of companies who may be in need of people in your field. your studies would just go to waste if you find a job which is hardly related to what you finished. as for me, what i graduated in was the field in demand. my problem, though was that there were a lot of us vying for these jobs. so i had to be creative.

your field of expertise maybe in demand in some other countries, like europe or even japan. but if you are doubtful of going abroad, perhaps you should contact your government employment agency or even your professor or college dean. your course of study was opened by the university with a purpose.

Quantum Dots, huh? Well now, you seem pretty smart. How about apply for lots of interesting jobs. When someone hires you, LEARN THE JOB AS YOU GO!!! They will realize you are new to this but smart. If you quit worrying and do it. You will make it. After all, you have learned harder things in the past!!

Hi jia521tao, now-a-days most of the people are working irrespective of their education, so first you make yourself cool and think of the choices , don't be hurry, and then start making trails , and mainly if you are confident in your own fields then start making trails on that.

I had some similiar problem about five years ago as a graduate student from a university. It was quite difficult for us university students to find a suitable job ,though we had been considered to master more knowledge than those who had not received higher education.I posted a lot of resumes ,but got refused ,leaving only disappointment. It took me more than four months to find a job as a manager in an appliance company. The wage was only more than 1500 yuan RMB,even lower than a peasant worker. In my opinion,in the present society ,it is very diffuclt for us university students in our nation to get a job that can offer oppotunities to take full adervantage of our knowledge .Because in every city ,there are always too many persons who are "bagging" jobs .The situation lowers our position .Maybe ,you have to find a temporary job to feed yourself, and gain some social experience at the same time.Meanwhile ,keep on studying ,and when chances knock at your door ,you will be succeful one day!

You should probably look for work in your field elsewhere. I suggest this because I'm assuming you chose Quantum Dots for a reason. If you enjoyed learning about it, you will enjoy doing it and learning even more on the job. I wish you luck finding your path in life. Best Wishes!

Thank you! I choose this field just by chance.Even I don't know what's Quantum Dots before I do the research. I don't like it and it's to hard for me. It's my fault to choose a area which I don't know. It's time for me to change another area.
