Whew! Hazelwood city officials are on the case! Now you will not be subjected to cookie sales on their own private property.

But this year one neighbor anonymously complained.
“The high volume of people that came by to pick up the cookies caused some dogs to bark. And that sound became an inconvenience for one of the neighbors so we had to take action,” Davidson said.
Boy, I hope they dont try to have a yard sale.....

Never heard of people coming to pick up their orders! Its always been the girl scout (or the mother!) delivering them or the GS standing in front of a store bombarding customers as they come and go. I have no problem with GS and their selling the cookies, but these days...they are rude, mouthy, pushy and I don't like being literally blocked from what I am doing by anyone trying to sell anything. At least in my neck of southern california! Plus...those cookies are so dang expensive!

Hi. laglen. That is very sad, all of this money lost. I don't understand why the church could just not let them sell their girl scout cookies onto the church property. That would have been a great way for them to make their sales. They would not have to worry about a dog barking because of the many people that are trying to purchase the cookies. I think that people just want to make petty issues out of just anything. At least they were selling something legal and positive versus something that is illegal and negative. If it was this way, I wonder how the neighbors would have complained then.

I'd tape a dog barking and play it at 3am. Set it out in some bushes so no one would find it for awhile.
Who the heck does the person complaining think they are? Good grief!

I had a neighbor like that when I lived in town. She was always complaining about dogs barking (to include mine, even though hers barked as much if not more), but one night when I'd had it with her (and I think I'd been drinking), I walked over to her house with a chopped up rattlesnake (I'd found and killed it in my back yard) on a shovel. I dropped it at her front door and rang the door bell. When she answered and as I was walking back to my house, I yelled, "Stop, f*(%ing with me!" For about a year, we didn't talk or even look at each other. But eventually we made up and they turned out to be pretty good neighbors until I moved. (I never do stuff like that, but I'd really had it with the complaints...)

It would have been better for all concerned if the annoyed neighbor just packed up and moved. lol Girl Scout cookies and barking dogs are a fact of urban life.
