Just to save money companies are using these outsourcing and its not only in US , even in INDIA its being a problem, these INDIANs are working for other countries and others are working here, and the main problem is language, companies while selecting their employees they have to see their language skills first of all, but even that's being a big problem now.

I watched a show on it. Companies are outsourcing to try and save money. Most of the jobs are going to India or Mexico and the people there are working at a rate about twelve cents an hour for a pay. It is crazy and it has hurt this economy.

It is a shame that this is continuing to happen, especially here in the US. Leaves a lot less jobs for everyone else, and more people on unemployment. And the problem is a lot of times these are people you have a hard time understanding, and are not as knowledgeable, etc. Or when it is for a Credit Card company, etc. you end up getting another thing added you did not want, and the wrong thing removed from there as well.

Lots of companies are profiting from relative poverty and inequal distribution of resources. I live in a so-called third world country (South Africa) and a friend of mine works at an outsourced call center for a company based in the Netherlands. (Both her parents are Dutch, so language is not a problem). However, their whole unit has now been given notice that they are closing down, because the company decided it would be cheaper to operate from Poland. It's more about money than about service or about caring for people. I think, if the company's public services no longer serve the public then those inadequacies should be made public. Share your experience on a group/website that looks after consumer interest. Or in the media. What they save in money, they will lose in business reputation.

I don't understand why this is happening all over the US meanwhile people here are looking for jobs. JC Penney's has been closing their call centers around the US. They closed one last year I believe it was in California and now they are closing one in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Alot of people are losing their jobs over this. Its quite unbelievable how this is the trend now. What are people suppose to do for money? Then you try to talk to these people from other countries and you can't understan a word they are saying. It makes me very angry that this is happening and we seem to have no control over it. I don't know what these 400 to 600 people are going to do now in New Mexico. Since jobs are hard to come by.

to save money...well in the Philippines there are lots of Filipinos that can speak english well and can have a good conversation with customers or clients..same also with Indians..I know that there english are very hard to understand because of there accent but there are also Indians that can speak english well and do have a good accent..I know that Indians are also very techy thats why most of Computer companies like to hire them because of there knowledge...but of course the company responsible for hiring agents should put a high standard when it comes with communication... :)

That's the way call center business nowadays, and I think, call center comany must select their emloyees well to augment with the flocks of customers. Outsourcing is a good business and trending to this sort of jobs really the "in" thing. With this kind of complaint, the best way to do is to report the call center agent to the managment for proper discipline. Another thing, when you report this experience, you are helping the industry acquire the good image to the highest level.
