Who do you fight for the TV remote in your house? Who wins?

Certainly ask about the TV remote control, who wants to watch sports, movies and cartoons in your house? Of course there are many who have more TV, but usually we all want to sit in the living room, watching us on TV, but only what we want.
Who starts fights, who wins and who give up ...? Course in your house.

In my house its just me and my better half. He likes to sit in his recliner with complete control over the remote and TV. Its sometimes frustrating but I let him have that little bit of control, since I have control over everything else. LOL LOL LOL

LOL LOL LOL I learned early what is worth fighting over and what is not. I rather have control over how the house is maintained buying what I need to do that, then over a remote for a TV. If it means him staying out of my hair its well worth it to me!

Hi. icesmile. In my home, my kids love cartoons like crazy! So they get to look at the TV in the front room most of the time. My husband recently placed a TV in our bedroom, so if I or him wishes to watch television in there, we can. I find it most comforting, because when my husband is not at home, I can watch anything that I would like to. With me being in the front room, I know that I won't get away with being able to watch my favorite show or movie. Not unless, mommy makes an argument about it.

Usually, its me against one of my two younger sisters. I prefer cartoons, animes, comedy, action, horror, cooking shows, art shows, and they'd usually opt for news (i call gossip), variety shows, drama, romance.
Yes, i always, always lose. This is one of the reasons why I'm happy I'm on night shift, I get to watch what I want when I get home. :P

I do - play fight that is. I usually had a conflict with my older sibling when it comes to the remote control. I usually watch girl stuff or my favorite series but my sibling, of course, prefer other types of programming.
We usually fight over the remote whenever my sibling catches me in the middle of my programs. He usually demands the remote to watch something else but I always made it a point to make it harder for him, since that will be the only time I get to tease him and make him suffer. He he he.
But eventually, I give him the remote and he gets to watch. I guess because he is really tired from work and want to relax for a while. Besides, the cable enables me to watch reruns rather than start a lengthy argument over something that is trivial in the long run.

I hold the remote incase a loud commercial comes on. I have really sensitive hearing and can't take a lot of noise. My husband knows this, and understands.

It's been so long since I've "fought" for the remote control. We hardly ever watch TV together because in my house, we don't watch the same thing.
On the rare occasion we're watching TV together, it's pretty much 'first come, first served'. Whoever was watching TV first has say over what channel the TV is on. Not that we all go rushing for the remote and one person picks it, but rather, usually only one person will be in the living room, when some time later, someone else joins that person. In this case, that first person has already chosen the channel, so the 2nd person can't complain because they chose to sit there. There are 4 TVs with cable in my house & 4 people, so there is no reason for there to be any fighting over the remote control. If the 2nd person doesn't like the program, then they can just go to their own room & watch what they want.
