Well this is a very classical question but the problem is a haven't got a chance to own a real tube amp. I just want to ask if it is really better or does it really givethe " warm tone" that the solid state amps completely lack? Kindly share your experience and useful advices so that I may consider changing from solid state and look for a real tube amp for the bucks.

tube amps are a big hassle when traveling from one venue to another
they're heavy and fragile
and expensive
if you're gonna get a tube amp, make sure that amp does not leave your house or practice space or club
the difference between the two isn't really that much to the ears of a common listener
and there are many emulators now that can actually give you the sound of a tube amp through a solid state amp

Well thanks for the tip man, My urge to buy one is not as high compared yesterday... I'll just consider looking for solid state amps with tube amp like sounds. ^_^

Tube amps are great and all, but they sure can be expensive! I recently got a Fender Frontman 212R and it's an amazing amp -- especially for the price!!
If you're looking for a great amp that has great volume and really has the tone, then I recommend the Fender Frontman 212R. Plus, I have a Digitech Pedalboard and the amp responds very well to it.
Plus, with tube amps you have to be very careful when transporting them around. Also, you have to replace the tubes every now and then if they go out...
So did you ever choose what amp to get? :)
