I am not studying anymore - I remember when I was and I did a course that I thought I would enjoy but, didn't really like that much so chanegd and still didn't feel happy! I think when you're not happy it is best to change as if you don't enjoy the course what is the point in it?

haha =D I'm done with studying! There's no way i will ever gop back to it again since i'm working, and dun see the need to further my studies.. lol =D I dun ahve much interest in studies, thus it does not matter what course i'm taking. Even my diploma, i just followed blindly, taking whatever my friend took up.. haha =D At the end of 3 years, i still got my diploma and i'm happy with that as it is.. haha =D
It's a waste of time trying to change course in the midst of it, and it's also waste of money. It's better to consider carefully before deciding.. haha

I study psychology, but I am taking a break at the moment. I signed up for a psychology class near my home, but I had to give it up before of my work. I work at night at it is not realistic for me to go school early in the morning, because that is the time when I just got back from work and need to sleep. I want to continue my psychology studies later, maybe next semester. I liked the school and I had a very good teacher. She was very enthuasiatic and we had some interesting discussions in class. Before that time I studied psychology online. That was also interesting, but the assignments that I had in my online class were pretty hard.

I'm satisfied with the courses I am studying. I had the chance to apply for the classes I desired. It's lovely when you can learn more in the areas of life which are your passions.

I have not had the opportunity to study anything as of yet. I would love to study computer repair or interior design. I think they should make it alot more affordable so more people could take advantage of it.

Dear friend,
From younger age onwards I hated school and college studies. I loved traveling, drawings, listing to music, watching movies, reading interesting things, playing so on goes my main interest that was mostly interrupted by this school and college studies. Most often I felt lots of unnecessary things are taken into my head which is burden for me. I do like to have knowledge but that is useful for leading a life. Moreover I went to school and college only to get job in future. But here there are lots of rich businessmen who are successful with basic knowledge.

I am way past college age but it is never too late to return to study right? I left high school and my biggest regret since then had been that I did not do any tertiary studies so five years ago I took a course in freelance journalism and lo and behold, managed to finish it, pass and obtain a diploma! It was tough being a wife and mother trying to better my education but I am very glad I did it and yes I was very happy with my course, I pursued a passion I’ve had since childhood which is writing.

For the most part, yes, I am. I would be lying if I said that everything was really great. However for the most part, I think that what I am studying is really one hundred percent useful to me. Then again, there are a lot of things that don't seem useful at the time, but tying everything together in one nice package, it makes sense. Therefore, there while there is some room for improvement in places, in many others, I am satisfied.

Hi dear,
It is so glad to say that I am not at all a student anymore now and it should consider as my olden or golden days of the past. But if I say something about my course and subject I had not other alternative, and I had to study. In fact I have applied for the higher studies with my interested subject and the day I was supposed to go for the interview and selection, I couldn't reach the venue in time as there was heavy rains and flood and roads were blocked. I reached the college about 30 mts. late and the principle asked me, 'are you the son of the district collector', I replied, No, and I explained the reason why i was late. He asked me to wait, and when short listed and lucky enough, I will get selected.
But I didn't wait for the response and I joined a nearby college, which was walking distance of just 10 mts. but my opted subject were not able to get. However, I become PG in economics and I didn't feel any bad in studying economics. Also, I felt lucky that I was the only boy to study with 13 girls for 3 long years!!!
Thank-s

This is a great discussion. I am not satisfied with my courses because they only touch the surfaace level of the subjects. In an intro psychology course, they will tell you not to get into the technical stuff with statistical studies, even though that is what real researchers do. They discourage individual interests and keep people from examining the details for the sake of the syllabus.
If students had more hands on learning, it would allow them to learn useful, applicable information, while learning the basics in the process. Instead, professors act like students have to learn step by step: first intro, then 200 level, then 300, and so on. But this only makes courses really boring and it seems it will take forever to gain something significant. This is just a bs process because obviously, many students will give up by then. It seems that this process is just a test of how diligent and patient people are. By the time a student gets through graduation, he or she is likely a listener and follower who kneels down to the professor rather than learning to be an independent thinker.
