Most of us during summer vacation often think of visiting those beautiful places and have fun, traveling and spending time with our family and friends,as it happens once a year. Anyway, my niece is completely different, every summer vacation what she always look forward is either working or doing some volunteer work on our church or community, at her very young age she did few good things and that amaze me, because I am not like that. I am like those few who love going other places.
What do you love during summer vacation?

hello ganza!
your topic caught my attention because i also have a niece and i am the one taking care of her. well, first may i ask how old is your niece? my niece is four years old now and i want to let her join some lessons during summer. like early this day, we have been out and i have seen and inquire to some schools nearby on what classes they ahve for summer. i have learned they have taekwondo class other have art class and swimming classes. but then, the main problem is "money". it would be nice for her to join such but then, her mother has no budget for that. even i don't have it myself. too bad! i wish i could get her to those classes. anyways, there will be a summer class for kids like her in day care nearby our place and best of all it's free so, better have it there instead. though, the taekwondo thing is awesome!

may i ask again, what does your niece look forward to this summer? what kind of volunteer work does she wants to do? i am confused on that. well, most of us can really be excited to hopping from place to place during summer, because it's fun to see new things and places around specially when you have a budget for that.

I use to love going out to the beach and traveling. My sister and I will just go to a place where we havent been to. The mystery is what makes it all fun. Anyway, now I dont go out like that as much. I just want to earn money on my spare time. I really need it. I wanna be a billionaire so freakin bad.. as the song would go. :)

Ha..ha..well lots of us want to be a billionaire, who didn't want money! But for me, as long as I have enough money to save for emergency and of course for vacation that would be enough, I won't work hard that much and forget to unwind and relax because I might go crazy working whole time.

Umm... you should at least try to have a short vacation and have some fun, 'cause when you got a job, it could be hard for you to get out from it, a whole lot of work waiting for you each day.lol

I just lie somewhere lazily or hang out with friends. I've been wanting to hold on part time job but haven't been successful finding one . It's annoying. Anyway during summer if I have nothing interesting to do, I just do things to kill time, like knit or watch movies, go to the mall, join some extra classes. Stuffs like that.

Ummm... just keeping your self busy and learning new things could make your summer vacation fun or let say productive. When I was still studying there are those times that I just love to sleep and eat and watch movies at home, those were not that productive but makes me feel so relax and gives me energy as the classes begins.lol

what i do during summer vacation depend on how much money i have during those months. if i have enough of money i will do like you go to visit other places. if not i will spend my summer at home with my children going to shopping, cinema, beach, restaurant and much more. maybe i can start doing thing like your niece it is a good thing to help people in need.

You are right, it's always a good thing to be able to help others, it makes one feel better about herself or feel good knowing you done something good, especially those who are in need of your talent and effort.
It's always necessary to work hard in order to able to save enough money for vacation, especially when you have your own family, unlike when you are single.

Yeah, thanks a lot! I know her future could be whole lot brighter if she always keep on doing those things and having the same thoughts and thinking about life and everything, she go a long way. And I am sure we will be proud of her someday.

That's a very nice thing that your niece spends her summers productively. I'd want my future children to do just the same.
As I am a working adult extended summer vacations aren't in my list of priorities. I miss the student life when I had a guaranteed two months of doing nothing every year. I happen to work in a company which doesn't allow long leaves so the best I can hope for is a long weekend, a Friday off and then Saturday and Sunday.
As I am in the Philippines I actually dislike going to the beach in summertime as the heat is really bad, almost unbearable. I do have an upcoming Boracay trip in September. By then it's no longer summer and I hope the weather would be nice enough for the beach.

It could be nice going to Bora during off summer as the place could not be that crowded, well if you just want to unwind and want to be alone. Anyway, too bad for you, summer vacation with friends and family are lot more fun and of course meeting new friends. What I always love during summer is the sunrise and sunset those were the time it's best to stay of the beach.

I always love swimming, good for you. Way back then, it's was my older brother who taught me how to swim, when we were just kids we spend in the beach every weekends and swim almost the whole time. And it was real great!

Outside of certain issues I do however love to spend time with my loved ones and go out and vacation to go see them. I have a wonderful boyfriend who has a wonderful family in which each summer I go for a month to visit.
Some youths get bored and get into trouble so your niece at such a young age is quite inspiring and she is a good example that many should follow.

You are indeed very lucky having a boyfriend who have a great family, you could always look forward and such thought really makes you excited. Ah, my niece, yeah I admire her a lot and so as other people, she thinks differently from other young teens on her age, she always think about what she can do for others, and yeah, she's a good example.

Going out of town or to places that keep us away from those usual things we do and we see could be real refreshing and gives us more inspiration to live and enjoy life despite of all the problems we have. Having our family or love ones makes the time more memorable and enjoyable.
